Ahmed Maki, a 2023 Chevening scholar, shares his experience travelling to China as part of the SWUFE Global Academy summer school:

"🌍 As part of my Chevening journey and my master's studies at Birkbeck, University of London, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics Global Academy Summer School 2024. This program offers a rich academic experience, deepening my understanding of the business world from both Eastern and Western perspectives while fostering cross-cultural exchange.

Throughout the program, we engaged in lectures and discussions that explored the dynamics of China's economic growth and development. The agenda also included visits to cultural landmarks in Chengdu, such as the Giant Panda and the Sichuan cuisine museum, providing a comprehensive and immersive experience.

The combination of academic learning and cultural immersion has been truly enriching, and I’m grateful to have had this opportunity as part of my academic and professional development.
