The IRM Education Foundation has awarded a grant to Malaysian child rights organisation S**A Society to support its Empowered2Teach programme, strengthening access to quality early years education for Orang Asli children in Kampung Sungai Bot Dalam, Perak.
The programme trains and supports members of indigenous communities to become early years educators, helping address barriers to preschool provision while building local capability and creating a sustainable model of education.
The Foundation’s grant will support continued professional training, mentoring and classroom resources for locally trained Orang Asli teachers, helping children develop the literacy, numeracy and social skills that provide an important foundation for primary education and lifelong learning.
This initiative reflects the IRM Education Foundation’s commitment to supporting education, professional development and community-led projects that deliver meaningful and lasting impact.
