£15,000 → £2.2 million 📈
A great result from our Year 9 students this week at an inter-school Stock Market Challenge!
Working in teams, students took part in a live trading simulation, applying their knowledge, making decisions under pressure and developing their strategy as the day progressed.
One group achieved the strongest result from our school, turning an initial £15,000 into £2.2 million during the simulation. A brilliant experience and a strong example of learning in action.

Westminster City School is proud to announce that three Year 13 students have received offers to study at the University of Cambridge. This is a fantastic achievement that reflects their hard work, ambition, and the support within our Sixth Form community.
All three students have been offered a place at Girton College, University of Cambridge. Akash to read History, Victoria to read Architecture, and Ronni to read Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion.
Ronni shared that receiving her offer is a dream come true and she cannot wait to start in October.
“I am over the moon. I was honestly shocked as the whole process was quite overwhelming, but I don’t think I’ve ever been happier. I’m glad my hard work paid off and that I made my family proud.”

What a day at Westminster City School!
We were honoured to welcome Baroness Hale of Richmond DBE, former President of the Supreme Court and the first woman Justice, who spoke with our Year 12 and 13 students on our Pathways to Law programme.
Lady Hale shared her journey in law, spoke honestly about breaking barriers in a male-dominated profession, and challenged students to think about the future of the judiciary and who it represents.
The questions from our students were so thoughtful that she didn’t want the Q&A to end!
An inspiring experience for our students who are considering a career in Law. We are grateful to Lady Hale for her time.
