Congratulations to Westminster City School’s Class of 2026 on their GCSE results!

This year, we are celebrating some exceptional individual outcomes, alongside a number of positive subject results across key attainment measures.

Sebastian achieved the highest results in the year group with 10 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s. He will remain at Westminster City School for Sixth Form to study Maths, Philosophy, Economics and Politics.

Stephen, who achieved 3 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s, 3 Grade 7s and a Level 2 Merit, will also stay on at our Sixth Form to study Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry as he considers a future career in medicine.

These results follow last week’s excellent A Level outcomes and the school’s ‘Strong’ OFSTED judgement for achievement in May.

We are proud of the hard work and resilience shown by our Year 11 students and look forward to welcoming many of them back to our Sixth Form in September.

Congratulations to Westminster City School’s Class of 2026 on another excellent set of A Level results!

Almost 2/3 of grades were awarded at A* to B maintaining last year’s record performance and placing this year’s results among the strongest in the school’s history.

Students are now preparing for their next steps at universities including University of Cambridge, UCL, Imperial College London, LSE, King’s College London and Warwick, alongside many other excellent destinations.

Among them is Adina, who will study Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London after achieving two A*s and two A grades.

Reflecting on her time at Westminster City School, she said:

“When I first visited Westminster City School, I immediately felt that it was the right place for me. I really liked the environment and the range of opportunities available to students.”

We are extremely proud of everything our students have achieved and wish them every success as they begin the next chapter.

Achievement at Westminster City School was judged to be at the strong standard, reflecting outcomes that are consistently above national averages.

Behind those outcomes are ambitious students, dedicated staff and a culture that encourages young people to aim high and the best version of themselves.

We are delighted to share our latest Ofsted report with our school community!

Following our inspection in May, Westminster City School was recognised as operating at the strong standard across the majority of areas inspected under Ofsted’s new framework.

The report highlights our students’ achievements, strong attendance and behaviour, effective leadership, successful Sixth Form and the positive culture that exists throughout the school.

We are incredibly proud of our students and staff, and grateful for the support of our parents, carers and governors.

£15,000 → £2.2 million 📈
A great result from our Year 9 students this week at an inter-school Stock Market Challenge!

Working in teams, students took part in a live trading simulation, applying their knowledge, making decisions under pressure and developing their strategy as the day progressed.

One group achieved the strongest result from our school, turning an initial £15,000 into £2.2 million during the simulation. A brilliant experience and a strong example of learning in action.
