We are delighted to have been selected as the 2026 Supporting Sustainability winner at the Awards!
At Sydenham & Dulwich Girls, sustainability is a living culture β structural, curriculum-embedded, pupil-driven, and measurably effective. A green thread runs through every stage of school life. From litter picking to growing our own vegetables, biodiversity days to food waste challenges, we have made small steps for big cumulative impact.
We look forward to continuing with our eco work and improving our sustainability as a community.

We acknowledge that this work is ongoing and that there is always more to do. However, the commitment, energy, and genuine collaboration between students, staff, and families reflected in all of our initiatives demonstrates that we are building an authentic culture of belonging, through a commitment to continuous growth, reflection and action.
We are so proud of what we have achieved and we remain committed to going further.

Throughout June we are connecting with the planet, ourselves and each other in The Wildlife Trustβs 30 Days Wild!
Daily time in nature is great for your health, your happiness, and the planet.
Find your wild, recharge your body and mind, and reset.
Join in with all our GDST peers and let's see if we can reach 1,000 activities across the Trust! Whether it's a 5-minute wellbeing walk or a full outdoor lesson, every act of wildness counts toward our collective goal.

It's at SDG and we have been having fun looking at the history of our local area.
As we often use Crystal Palace Park for health and wellbeing activities, we have watched the changes over the last few years and look forward to seeing the regeneration projects finished soon.
Do you think the former Crystal Palace should be reinstated?!
