Classroom looking ready for the second half of the autumn term🍁🍂🕷🕸

There's something special about the autumn 2 term. It provides children with such rich and varied learning opportunities. Children can see the amazing colours on the leaves and watch as they all begin to fall off until the trees are bare. The temperature begins to drop and suddenly, out pops the hats and gloves. The puddles freeze over and it begins to snow (if we're really lucky).

Also, there are celebrations aplenty. Black history, Diwali, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

There are loads of adventures to be had this term and I'm so excited to begin!

Any provocation should provoke and invite learning, interest, creativity and thoughts. Thus allowing children to freely explore, create and critically think.

Lemon flavoured water, available to self serve. One of the ways to encourage and promote independence in children.

Observational drawing is a great way to develop qualities of perception and a deeper consciousness in children.

It's the end of the first week back and the classroom is looking ready to welcome our little explorers and their parents in for the 'stay & play' sessions next week.

For me, it's all about finding quirky objects that will ignite a child's curiosity thus creating opportunities for communication and language development.
