It’s been 3 months since we launched our book “The ABC of World Languages.”

What has been your favourite song? We usually find it hard to choose a favourite as we enjoyed all of them when we were building up the content of the book. Nevertheless, the Vietnamese song “Cháu Yêu Bà” remains one of our top favourites.

There are various ways to use the book depending on the age of the child.

1- sing the songs either in the native language on in English .. you can search for those nursery rhymes or songs on youtube and sing along.

2- learn ABC alphabets through the fun language concept.

3-for older children, enjoy copying the way alphabets are written in different languages.

4- promote diversity and inclusion through this book. A great addition for your library.

5- encourage children speaking those languages to share their experiences and boost their confidence.

Through the world of ABC, we Le Nid Childcare aimed to celebrate the various languages we have been rooted with. Mauritians in UK would pride themselves with their Creole, English, French and oriental languages (French, Tamil telethon, Urdu, mandarin..)

February 21st , we celebrated international motherland language day

March 7th , we celebrated world book day ..

May 7th- we launch our first ever book by Le Nid Childcare- Learning French

Our national anthem of Mauritius whereby the music was composed by Philippe Gentil, and the English lyrics were written by Jean-Georges Prosper. It shortly and briefly describes the luscious landscape of Mauritius. It also mentions the qualities of its people: peace, justice and liberty.
