When you realise you’ve had doors opened you didn’t even have to knock on, it changes how you see the world. It shifts the focus from “fair for all” to “just for each”.
Recognising privilege isn’t about centring yourself, it’s about using what you have to widen the path for others.

I was truly honoured to take part in the Autumn Institute for Arabic Teachers, led by the Qatar Foundation and the Arabic Teachers Council in the UK. Being part of these condensed, high-impact workshops was both inspiring and enriching.
What stood out most was the depth of classroom experience the participating teachers brought. Their insights, challenges, and creative solutions added so much to the expertise we already share ultimately enriching the learning experience for our students and strengthening the presence of Arabic in UK classrooms.
This year’s core theme centred on motivation, explored through the lens of learner autonomy, relatedness, and competence. Together, we examined practical methods teachers can use to cultivate these principles in the classroom and sustain them throughout the academic year while drawing on both theoretical research and lived classroom practice.
I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, share, and contribute to such meaningful professional dialogue. Continuous collaboration like this is what drives impactful, student-centred Arabic teaching forward in the UK.
Looking forward to seeing the ripple effects of this work in classrooms across the country!

I’m honored to serve as a delegate at the inaugural Global Alliance for Palestine. 🇵🇸 ✊🏼
This is more than a conference, this a turning point. Activists, organizers, and allies from across the world are coming together under one united banner to strengthen our collective voice for justice, dignity, and liberation in Palestine.
As a delegate and on behalf of Palestine Forum Britain, I stand in solidarity with those on the frontlines and those building resistance in every corner of the globe. The Global Alliance is about coordination and unity, not a fragmentation of society that stands with Palestine. Together we rise, and together we fight for a free Palestine.
