The countdown is on and we’re ready for another fantastic academic year at Tower House!

Our staff have been working for weeks, preparing for the boys’ arrival. We can’t wait to see all our families on Thursday morning when we will kick off the Autumn Term.

In the meantime we hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer full of adventure and fun - see you on Thursday!

We’re live at the Edinburgh Fringe!

Tower House School is very proud to be making its Fringe debut with The Fifteenth Juror, an original play by Paul Geary inspired by the true story of John Peter Zenger and the fight for press freedom.

Performed by our talented Year 8 boys, this gripping production explores justice, truth, perspective, and the courage to challenge authority. We couldn’t be prouder of the maturity, passion, and commitment the boys have brought to the stage.

They have been enjoying the full Edinburgh Fringe experience, performing in front of new audiences as well as handing out flyers on the Royal Mile before the show!

Hard to believe but another packed term, and academic year at Tower House has come to an end!

From exciting residential trips, award winning music, whole school-house activities and visits from international bestselling authors, we haven’t stopped and its been great watching the boys loving every minute. Now is the time for an extended break to spend time with family and friends and recharge batteries. We wish all our boys, their families and our staff a wonderful summer holiday and we can’t wait to do it all again in September!

Fantastic news! We are delighted that Tower House School has been commended in the 2026 Independent Schools of the Year Awards, in the prestigious Independent Boys’ School of the Year category.

To be listed alongside the best schools in the UK is a wonderful recognition of the dedication and hard work of our staff, as well as the wonderful spirit and support of our whole community.

Congratulations to all the other commended schools and we look forward to the finalists being announced on the 10th September.

The Senior School gathered for our Celebration of Achievement last night, for a spectacular programme of music, song, film, speech, poetry and prizes. A glorious way to bring such a special year to a close! An opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of every boy to our wonderful school and to recognise their collective effort and achievement.

There were so many wonderful moments, but the whole school finale of ‘You Raise Me Up’ was particularly moving and very special to watch our boys work together, as one cohesive unit. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the evening such a success.

An annual highlight yesterday as Years 2 – 8 gathered together for the Summer House Activities Day! The boys split into small groups made of a boy from every year, and took part in a range of STEM, Art, Sport and Performance challenges. It was fantastic seeing the boys throw themselves into every activity, supporting each other throughout and gathering points for their Houses. Tower House at it’s best!

We find out on Friday which House is crowned the end of year winner, winning the most coveted prize of all – ice creams for the whole House!
