We're happy to announce that our annual “Getting Published” Day will this year be on Saturday 21st June 2025 at Asia House, London.

If you are a writer, looking to get published or to self publish in the year ahead, this day will be a brilliant and intimate opportunity to explore the various routes to publication.

All those who book before the end of the bank holiday weekend (by Monday 5th May) will get bonus feedback on their pitch and opening 5 pages from me personally.

Venue: The Library Room, Asia House, Central London​

I'm delighted to share that our Special Guests will be:

Louise Doughty – Acclaimed novelist and screenwriter, author of novels including Apple Tree Yard and Former Booker Prize judge.

Salma Begum – Literary Agent at Greyhound Literary, with a background in editorial at Picador and Bonnier Books UK.

Jemma McDonagh – Founder of JMA Literary Agency, with over 20 years of experience securing major publishing deals.

Stephanie Zia – Publisher, Founder of Blackbird Books

Our Founder Jacqui Lofthouse will be there facilitating all and so will David Lewis Cartoons our visualiser. Many of our guests including Salma Begum will be with us for lunch so you will have an opportunity to talk informally with them.

Throughout the day, guests will gain insights into traditional publishing, working with innovative publishers, and self-publishing. There will be panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking with fellow writers and industry professionals.​

In addition there will be a light breakfast and delicious finger buffet lunch.

We have two ticket options and the VIP Ticket includes priority seating, personal introductions to our special guests, a VIP goody bag, and a comprehensive review of your agent letter and pitch/synopsis (with three rounds of revisions), plus assistance in selecting 12 agents for submission.​

The VIP ticket also includes feedback on your pitch and synopsis from literary agent Salma Begum.

If you’re hoping to enter our Novel Award, you can sit back and relax in your – we accept works in progress! We need 5,000 to 8,000 words and a 300-word synopsis by 31 May 2025.
