Celebrating Trung Thu with Vietnam Airlines 🏮✈️

Trung Thu 26 just got even more special! We are proud to welcome Vietnam Airlines as our official event sponsor.

Vietnam Airlines has always been a vital link for the Vietnamese diaspora, and this year, they want to send one of YOU home. We will be holding a lucky draw for a Return Ticket (London to Vietnam) during the festival!

Event Details:
📍 Where: Deptford Lounge, Main Hall
🎟️ How: Buy a raffle ticket at the festival to enter
⏰ Results: 3:00 PM (Don't be late!)

The winner will be responsible for applicable taxes and fees.

Lễ hội Trung Thu 26 sẽ càng trở nên đặc biệt hơn bao giờ hết! Hội Gia đình Việt (VFP) xin trân trọng thông báo: Vietnam Airlines đã chính thức trở thành nhà tài trợ kim cương cho lễ hội năm nay.

VFP is working with Lewisham Council Housing – Community Relations Team to hear what residents think about housing and community activities.

Interpreter on hand. Help filling in the form, on paper or tablet. Your answers stay anonymous. Drop in, no appointment needed. Each survey enters the draw for a £50 voucher.

🎉👏👍👋 One trip, one act of care 🌊
Last Sunday, VFP took members of our Luncheon Club, along with other members of the wider community, to Folkestone beach — including elders aged 96 and 97, and some living with mental health difficulties.
For many, it was the only outing they'll take all year: a chance to breathe sea air and share a simple Vietnamese baguette with friends from their community. 🥖🌊
Thank you to our volunteers for keeping the day safe and joyful. 💙

🌊 Một chuyến đi, một tấm lòng 🌊
Chủ Nhật vừa qua, VFP – Gia Đình Việt đã đưa các cô chú, ông bà từ Câu lạc bộ Bữa trưa cùng nhiều thành viên khác trong cộng đồng đến với biển Folkestone. Trong đoàn có những cụ đã 96, 97 tuổi, có người đang sống chung với khó khăn về sức khoẻ tinh thần.
Với nhiều cô chú, đây là lần duy nhất trong năm được ra khỏi bốn bức tường, hít thở không khí trong lành, và cùng nhau chia sẻ một ổ bánh mì Việt Nam giữa những người bạn cùng cộng đồng. 🥖🌊
Cảm ơn các tình nguyện viên đã đồng hành để chuyến đi diễn ra an toàn và trọn vẹn. 💙

🎉 A Birthday Night to Remember 🎉

Last Saturday, VFP's Dance Group came together for a warm, joyful evening at Evelyn Community Centre, Deptford - celebrating member Hương Trần's birthday and marking the group's 1st anniversary! 💃🕺

Over the past year, what began as a small group of dance enthusiasts has grown into a close, supportive community. Members have progressed from tentative first steps to confident, joyful dancers - proving that dance is more than an art form; it's a source of connection, fitness, and joy, especially for those navigating life far from home.

One thing we've noticed along the way: our Vietnamese and ESEA male community members remain a bit underrepresented on the dance floor! 😄 The ladies have been holding down the fort beautifully but we'd love to see more of our brothers, uncles, and friends join in. Everyone is welcome, dancer or not (yet)!

A huge thank you to our musicians, dance instructor Ngọc Sơn, and every member who has shown up, practiced, and shared in the joy this past year. Here's to more dancing, laughter, and community spirit ahead! 🌸

Tết Trung Thu 2026 is coming , and it's shaping up to be our biggest Mid-Autumn Festival yet. Now in its 23rd year, this is the largest Vietnamese community event in the UK, bringing together over 5,000 people from across Lewisham and beyond for a day of lion dancing, lanterns, food, and culture. 🐉🏮
