It’s a joy to watch them working so hard – learning from each other, growing in their artistry, and finding new colours in the music of Mozart, Bizet, Handel, Britten, Tchaikovsky, Offenbach and Gounod.
They’ll give a glimpse of their progress at the Love & Misadventures concert this Saturday (7.30pm, St Peter’s Church, tickets on the door), but we’re already so proud of all they’ve achieved.

Did music used to be a central part of your life? Maybe you studied voice in college, sang on stage, dreamed of a career in opera—but life led you in another direction.
Still, the love of singing hasn’t left you. You catch yourself missing the thrill of rehearsal, the camaraderie of the cast, the joy of stepping into a role and letting your voice soar. You wonder: What if I gave myself just one week to come back to it?
This summer, we're offering a chance to do just that. Spend a week immersed in staged opera scenes, surrounded by supportive professionals and like-minded singers. Reignite your passion, reconnect with your artistry, and remember what it feels like to sing for the love of it.

Sure, you can sing a solo anytime—but there's something uniquely powerful about singing with others.
Opera isn't just about the spotlight. It's about duets that breathe with shared emotion, trios that dance in perfect balance, sextets that weave story and harmony together, and choruses that lift the room with collective sound. Ensemble singing reminds us that music is connection—listening, responding, creating together.
This summer, come be part of that. In our staged opera scenes course, you’ll dive into the rich ensemble repertoire that makes opera unforgettable. Blend, harmonize, and rediscover the thrill of being one voice among many.
