Ah, man, we got photobombed by Sekhmet! The panel (David M. Ratzan, Olaf Kaper, Marina Nuovo, and Roberta Casagrande-Kim) had a very productive time sharing our work at at the 10th Dakhleh Oasis Project conference Annual Egyptological Colloquium: excellent papers, gracious hosts, wonderful company, and a shared hope for a return to collaborative scientific research across the . We will see you in in January, Insha’Allah!

We have an entire panel about at the DOP conference/Annual Egyptological Colloquium tomorrow! At 86 degrees (fine, 30 degrees) today it’s going to feel a little bit Dakhla in London!

The Amheida Excavations mourns the passing of our beloved colleague, mentor, and friend Raffaella Cribiore. She brought the poetry on our walls to life. She will be sorely missed. Ave atque vale.

Hi all! We needed a break … but we’re back. And we have been busy in the meantime. Plenty of updates coming your way about the Amheida Excavations!
