A look back at four days in Venice with eight curators from across the UK, taking part in a professional development programme hosted by Art Fund and the Association for Art History.

The programme brought the group together to explore the Venice Art Biennale, from the Giardini and Arsenale to Wales in Venice and Scotland + Venice, alongside visits to private collections and artists’ studios and opportunities to meet colleagues working across the sector.

We’re pleased to have supported this opportunity for curators to exchange ideas and build connections while in Venice.

Thank you to Art Fund, the individual funders who made the programme possible, and everyone who welcomed and supported the group throughout the programme.

Next year’s Art History Conference will be held 7-9 April 2027 in collaboration with the University of Exeter. We are now inviting paper proposals from members and non-members. With over 100 sessions showcasing the latest art historical research, there's a place for your work in the programme.
