We did it again! 🏆 Trinity Academy is bringing home another trophy for the cabinet after claiming 1st place out of 8 schools in the Envision Programme!
Our brilliant Year 12 students worked tirelessly over a 12-week programme, guided by incredible mentors from Serco, to develop an innovative project on financial literacy. Their dedication and creativity impressed the judges and secured the top spot!
Financial literacy is more important than ever, especially for young people. Did you know that according to the Money and Pensions Service, nearly 9 million adults in the UK struggle with managing money day to day? And with almost 40% of working-age adults having less than £100 in savings, building financial skills early is essential.
Our students took on this challenge by creating a project that empowers young people with the knowledge and confidence to manage their finances—helping to shape a more financially secure future. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievement!
Congratulations to our champions and a huge thank you to Serco for their invaluable support. Trinity Academy continues to aim high and achieve greatness!

🍰🍪 Trinity Academy Bake Off: A Sweet Success! 🍌🧁
Our taste buds are still dancing from last week’s Bake Off, where our talented student bakers whisked us away on a journey of flavor! Not only did they rise to the challenge, but they also helped us raise dough for the School Enrichment Fund—proof that baking can be a piece of cake when it’s for a good cause!
Here are our star bakers:
✨ Serenna wowed us with her Oreo cupcakes—rich, creamy, and oh-so-dreamy!
✨ Diya served up a gluten-free Victoria sponge that had us saying, “Gluten who?” It was light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious!
✨ La’Keylah crafted cookie dough cupcakes that were choco-lot of fun and packed with gooey goodness!
✨ Justice went bananas with her banana bread, moist and bursting with flavor—it was truly a-peeling!
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Bake Off and helped raise funds for enriching student experiences. You’re the icing on our cake! 🎂

The Importance of Careers Education
At Trinity Academy, we believe that early career exposure is pivotal in shaping our students’ futures. Research supports this:
• Career Readiness Growth: Students’ career readiness increases by 67% during their school years, rising from 46% in Year 7 to 77% in Year 13.
• Employer Engagement: 86% of businesses report that working with schools encourages young people to pursue careers in their sector, with 78% noting an increase in job applications.
• Gatsby Benchmarks: Schools’ and colleges’ national performance against the Gatsby Benchmarks for good career guidance has more than doubled in the last five years, indicating a positive trend in structured and inclusive career guidance programmes.
By integrating career education into our curriculum, we aim to:
• Bridge the Gap between academic learning and real-world applications.
• Equip Students with essential skills for the evolving job market.
• Foster Aspirations by exposing students to diverse career pathways.
We are committed to providing our students with opportunities that broaden their horizons, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate and succeed in their future careers.

📢 Every Year 7 at Trinity Academy Receives a FREE Blazer, Bag & Tie! 🎒🎀
At Trinity Academy, we believe every child should start secondary school with confidence, pride, and a sense of belonging. That’s why we provide every Year 7 student with a free blazer, school bag, and tie—supporting our families by ensuring all students have the essentials they need from day one.
✅ Why Uniform Matters ✅
Wearing a school uniform isn’t just about looking smart—it has real benefits for students, both academically and socially.
👔 Improves focus & academic performance – Studies show that students who wear a uniform spend 64% less time deciding what to wear each morning, allowing them to arrive at school ready to learn. Schools with a uniform policy have been linked to a 10% improvement in student performance.
🎓 Encourages a positive learning environment – A 2017 study found that 90% of teachers believe school uniforms help promote good behaviour and reduce distractions in the classroom.
🤝 Fosters a sense of belonging – Uniforms help create a shared identity, and 95% of teachers say they help strengthen school community and pride.
💰 Reduces financial pressure on families – The average UK family spends over £150 per year on non-uniform school clothing. A set uniform helps level the playing field and prevents pressure to wear expensive branded items. By providing key uniform items for free, Trinity Academy is helping families manage costs, particularly during the current cost of living crisis.
🔵 Aspire. Achieve. Belong. 🔵
Trinity Academy is more than just a school—we are a community that invests in our students’ success and supports our families. Apply now and give your child the best start to secondary school!

Keeping Our Students Safe: Knife Crime Awareness with St Giles Trust
This week, all year groups at Trinity Academy had the opportunity to hear from Shadrach, a speaker from the St Giles Trust, about the realities of knife crime and how young people can stay safe and make positive choices.
Shadrach shared his personal experiences and gave our students practical advice on avoiding danger, supporting their friends, and ultimately saving lives. His powerful message reinforced the importance of respect, responsibility, and making the right decisions.
At Trinity Academy, we are committed to keeping our students safe—both inside and outside of school. We work closely with expert organisations like St Giles Trust to educate and empower our young people.
We encourage parents to continue these important conversations at home. If you have any concerns or would like further resources, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
