From bold concepts to considered craftsmanship, each collection reflected the unique perspective and creative talent of its designer.

One of the biggest themes to emerge from this year's Career Development Week was the importance of resilience and community.

Reflecting on our guest speaker session, Games Art & Design Subject Lead Alex Makhoul spoke about the value of embracing reinvention, learning from rejection and building meaningful connections throughout your career.

The games industry is a collaborative one, and the relationships students build during their studies can become invaluable as they progress into professional roles. Today's classmates may become tomorrow's colleagues, collaborators and industry leaders.

At LCCA, we're proud to foster a passionate Games community where students support one another, collaborate on projects and begin building professional networks from day one.

Recently, we hosted UniJam 2026, bringing together aspiring game developers for six days of collaboration, creativity and hands-on game development.

Participants worked across disciplines including game design, art, animation, writing and sound, developing their ideas into playable games and gaining valuable experience of the collaborative process behind game development.

The panel featured BAFTA award-winning production lead Karen Troop, gameplay programmer Patryk Owczarz and LCCA Games Lecturer and former Splash Damage Product Manager Alan O’Dea. Alongside reviewing the students’ work, the panel shared their experiences and perspectives during an industry talk and interactive Q&A.

Events like UniJam give emerging talent the opportunity to put their skills into practice, collaborate with others and gain insight into the wider games industry.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, supported and contributed to making UniJam 2026 a success. 👏
