What have you seen around ? We would love to know.
September heralds the coming of , but there are still plenty of wildlife species to watch out for as the season changes.
🐝 Like other wasps, European Hornets can now be spotted searching out fruit and berries to feed on.
🍄 Fungi such as puffballs are starting to appear, especially after damp weather.
🦋 Overwintering butterflies such as the Red Admiral are still on the wing on sunny days.
🫐 Fruits and berries are ripening on the bush. Look out for Rose Hips and Elderberries.
🕷️ Arachnids like the House Spider are now much more visible in our homes.
🐦 Birds such as Jays and Goldfinches are busy searching out nuts and seeds to fatten up for the lean months ahead.
