🌌 From sci-fi fan to real-life galaxy hunter!

Meet Daniel Pakula. He is a Master’s physics student at Tel Aviv University. He is officially rewriting what we see in the cosmos.

Inspired by films like Interstellar, Daniel knocked on faculty doors early in his studies to get into active research. Now, he uses the ultra-sensitive Dragonfly telescope to map the universe.

The breakthrough?
Daniel built an automated galaxy-detection system. It is already spotting hidden, faint dwarf galaxies. Major global surveys completely missed them before.

🔬 Brilliant news for Tel Aviv University!

Huge congratulations to Prof. Judith Berman on her election to the U.S. National Academy of Sciences (NAS).

While the Academy is based in the States, this rare election is a massive nod from the global scientific community. It places TAU’s groundbreaking medical research firmly on the world stage. 🌍

Prof. Berman’s vital work uncovers how deadly fungal pathogens adapt to resist life-saving drugs—a global healthcare challenge that impacts us all. 🧫🧬

She is only the sixth TAU researcher to achieve this prestigious honour in the last 50 years.

Here in the UK, we are incredibly proud to champion and support this level of world-class Israeli innovation. 💙

A groundbreaking new study led by Tel Aviv University reveals that our bodies are evolutionarily wired to conserve energy. When you work out more, your body adapts to save fuel elsewhere—even slightly shrinking energy-consuming organs like the liver and kidneys!
