Latymer Prep School has been commended for Independent Prep School of the Year in the Independent School Parent awards! 🎉

Year 4 had a wonderful visit to Westminster Abbey where they recreated their own coronation ceremony, had a turn at being Westminster choristers and learned lots about the history and royal connections in the abbey. 👑
 
Pupils studied the architecture for shapes and symmetry and learned about the different architectural styles within the buildings. They also enjoyed some creative writing in the beautiful abbey gardens. 
 
The children showcased their brilliant knowledge, curiosity and enthusiasm and their exemplary behaviour did us proud!
 

Wellies were launched, tug-of-war ropes pulled and House pride was out in force at Sports Day 🏃‍♂️
 
Our pupils brought competition, teamwork and laughter to the field. Congratulations to House Cormorant for taking the trophy 🏆 and to all the children for throwing themselves into the day with such energy and enthusiasm.
 

Latymer Prep School children were filled with excitement and pride as they welcomed very special guests into School on Friday 22 May.
 
This cherished annual tradition gives our pupils the wonderful opportunity to share a glimpse of their school world with someone who means so much to them — whether this is a family member or close family friend. Seeing the children eagerly introduce their friends, showcase their singing and share the everyday moments that make Latymer Prep so special was truly heartwarming. 
 

Who knew a barn owl’s brain is only the size of a peanut or that a skunk’s scent can linger for up to a year on another animal’s fur? 🦉
 
Our pupils at Latymer Prep were captivated during their interactive animal experience with . From curious questions to up-close encounters, the excitement was non-stop - especially when the barn owl took flight right through the classroom… definitely not your average school day.
 
A huge thank you to Ben and Nathan for sharing their passion and knowledge. It’s safe to say our children had an unforgettable experience 🐾
