The recent ‘Transparent Journeys along the Silk Roads’ conference focused on the vital role of glass as an indicator of exchange, trade and movement along the Silk Roads. The Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology hosted sessions handling early Egyptian glass.
