Sunday morning catch-ups ☕🎮

It was great to finally meet up with Finlay "Quaye" Stewart, former League of Legends esports manager. Back in the day, his esports adventures took him across Europe, including Berlin and Paris, where he and his teammates apparently had to dodge groupies! 😄

These days, Finlay is taking a slightly different path, balancing a full-time PGCE while teaching esports and business studies.

We spent the morning chatting about something we're both passionate about: the power of gaming and esports to build confidence, develop skills, create communities and transform lives for the better.

Proof that games can be so much more than just entertainment. 🎮❤️

Did you know Dundee is known as Scotland's sunshine city?

It certainly didn't disappoint on our visit for the Festival of Play!

With some time to spare before catching our train home, we managed to see the stunning V&A Dundee and the RSS Discovery, the ship that carried Captain Scott and Shackleton on their first Antarctic expedition .

As a team that believes in the power of storytelling, exploration and learning through adventure, it was hard not to feel inspired standing in a place so rich with history and discovery.

A perfect end to a fantastic day meeting students, teachers and fellow game-makers.

Thank you, Dundee - we'll be back! 😊

What a fantastic day at the Festival of Play! 🎮✨

A huge thank you to Ukie Digital Schoolhouse for bringing together so many enthusiastic students and educators for a celebration of learning through play.

We had the chance to test the first mission of Darwin's Trial with students from High School of Dundee, Blairgowrie High School and Inch View Primary & Nursery School.

One of our favourite moments? When the session had officially finished... but the students kept playing! 😊

We're now reviewing all of the feedback to make our quests even more engaging, enjoyable and effective at bringing curriculum learning to life through adventure.

A special thank you to Abertay University for hosting us in their fantastic Centre of Excellence facilities.

Scotland, here we come! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Next week we'll be heading to the UKIE Digital Schoolhouse Festival of Play at Abertay University.

We're excited to be running workshops with local students and teachers, who will be among the first to play test Mission 1 of Darwin's Trial and help shape the future of The Vault through their feedback.

As a university renowned for game design, Abertay feels like the perfect place to share our story-driven approach to learning and hear directly from the people we're building it for.

If you're attending, come and say hello 👋

Maybe choosing a railway platform wasn't the ideal place to interview our new Learning Experiences and School Partnerships Lead?! 🤨

Outside Woldingham School on Friday with Kevin Power - our new go-to for learning experiences and partnerships.

We’re incredibly excited that Woldingham will be the first school to play our latest development and help evaluate the educational impact of the Vault Learning platform.

Students will be exploring missions from Darwin’s Trial and there’s a brilliant historical twist…

One of the characters featured in the game, Bishop Samuel Wilberforce, may even have once lived in this very building, alongside his father William Wilberforce - the renowned anti-slavery campaigner.

History coming full circle?!

Thank you Daphne du Maurier for bringing us together with two of our fantastic development team ✨

Jon’s wife, Erin, was researching her second novel - set in the South West - which brought them all the way from Brooklyn to Bodmin Moor… and luckily for us, to London too.

Storytelling sits at the heart of everything we’re building at Vault Learning, so it feels especially fitting that storytelling itself is what brought us together

Escaped the big smoke yesterday for a visit to Woldingham School... what a setting...

Just 30 minutes from London, the school sits within 700 acres of beautiful countryside… complete with cows and even its own vineyard!

We’re incredibly excited that Woldingham is the first school to give feedback on our latest development and will also be helping evaluate the educational impact of the Vault Learning platform.

A huge thank you to the teachers there for welcoming us and supporting our journey.
