Design Four: Hotel Foyer asked our students to successfully encapsulate their hotel theme and concept immediately, on arrival.
Designs needed to be intentional and concise, allowing the foyer to quickly welcome guests and hint to what was to come.
A site in Seville was the starting point and students had freedom to take the design in any direction and deliver it how they wished. Communicating the feel of a space effectively through a short digital presentation was a key skill required for this project. These fantastic examples are just some of the schemes.

With submission only a week away studio is looking very industrious. Brilliant to see so many differing approaches to our public space project. Each student has embarked on a different London park to redesign.

The Switch House at Tate Modern is an informative experience in understanding how a new build is connected to an older incarnation on the same site. This kind of exercise compliments the current project the Architectural interior Design students are working on at the moment - a rooftop bar to be located six floors up on an existing building.
Students questioned how form, materials and view are matched, contrasted and developed with the original. Exploring open and intimate spaces and considering the view from above.
Exploring the building through sketching, measuring and sensory experience adds reality to understanding space.
