Congratulations to all COBIS students who received their exam results, following the release of yesterday's GCSEs and last week's A-level results.

We are proud of all our students, and recognise the families, teachers and school staff who have supported them every step of the way.

Results are just one part of a young person’s journey. Education opens doors to many different pathways and opportunities for future success, whatever the outcome.

To our COBIS member schools, we’re here to support you with any questions around results, appeals or related processes.

Wishing all students every success for what comes next!

Are you opening a British international school?

If you’re planning to establish a British international school overseas or in your home country, you may be eligible to join COBIS as a Provisional School from the early stages of your school’s development.

This provides an opportunity to connect with the COBIS community, access valuable resources and support, and build relationships with other British international schools as you work towards opening your school.

Our webinar series is back for 2026/27!

Next Wednesday’s session, delivered by Password English Language Testing and Oxford Collaborative of Multilingualism in Education, will explore how schools can ensure admissions data helps identify gaps between language learner profiles and how this can be used to plan targeted support, tailored to real student needs, instead of ‘one-size-fits-all’ provision.

Register here for the session delivered by Dr Helen Wood, Head of School Partnerships at Password English Language Testing, and Dr Eowyn Crisfield, Founder and Academic Director at Oxford Collaborative for Multilingualism in Education:

Congratulations to Carrie Cameron and The King's School, Vattanacville in Cambodia, who have achieved Accredited Member (COBIS) status.

“We are incredibly proud to become a COBIS Accredited Member and to be the first school in Cambodia to achieve this recognition. For parents, COBIS accreditation provides independent assurance that when they choose a COBIS school, they are choosing a school that has been rigorously assessed against internationally recognised standards of quality, safeguarding, leadership and teaching. We hope our achievement not only gives confidence to our own families but also encourages more schools across Cambodia to pursue COBIS accreditation, helping to raise standards and strengthen British international education across the country.” - Carrie Cameron, Principal

As a Member, they are part of a global community committed to supporting high-quality education and contributing to the COBIS vision to reach and connect all British international schools around the world.

The COBIS Research Skills Competition is back for 2026–27!

Delivered in partnership with GEC Academy, this global online competition offers schools a powerful way to:
- Enrich provision for high-achieving students
- Strengthen independent learning across KS4–KS5
- Enhance university preparation and pathways

Students (aged 14–18) undertake independent research in a subject of their choice, developing critical thinking, academic writing, and analytical skills that go far beyond the classroom.

"Research was always something that I was keen on doing, as it prepares me for an essential part of university. I was always intimidated of it, but this competition allowed me to gain research skills, and be more comfortable with research. Content was thorough and of a high-level as well." - Joel (student), India

A valuable addition to any school’s enrichment offer, and a chance to inspire genuine intellectual curiosity.
