The Read-Aloud Challenge is over for another year - but the fun isn't over yet!

As we approach the Awards Ceremony this autumn, we thought we'd share these pictures taken from last year's ceremony by Martin Bailey, Director of Animate 2 Educate and a digital learning specialist at Ellington Primary School.

We can't wait for this year's ceremony, hosted once again this year by the amazing Clare Balding!

We give every child the confidence to become a fluent reader.

The feedback we have had so far from the 2026 Read-Aloud Challenge has been phenomenal. This young girl shared how the gamified element to the Fonetti reading platform actively encouraged her to read more, and resulted in her enjoying the process of learning, reading and speaking out loud along the way.

That's what the Challenge is all about 🙌

Earn DOUBLE POINTS on 29th, 30th, 31st August. Any time, all day.

And earn TRIPLE POINTS on Sunday 30th August between 5–6pm and Monday 31st August from 1–2pm — the highest multipliers of the entire summer ☀️☀️☀️

As we approach the end of the 2026 Read-Aloud Challenge by Fonetti (just 5 days left!), we can't wait to invite all of our winners, runners-up, ambassadors and partners to the Awards Ceremony this Autumn.

Hosted once again by the brilliant Clare Balding and presenter Arti Halai, this is a day in our calendars that we always look forward to 💛

As Arti so aptly puts it, it's a day to bring everyone together — from the supporters, literacy advocates and champions, to the children themselves — to celebrate incredible results in reading, literacy and oracy.

Be sure to follow us as we announce the Winners over the coming weeks 🏅
