BRAZIL-UK CONNECTION EVENT THIS TUESDAY 10TH OF JUNE! 🇧🇷🇬🇧

The and and members of our society have brought together multiple experts to discuss business, investment and legal opportunities in Brazil with a focus on infrastructure! This is a great opportunity to connect with others and explore more about Brazil!

Join us for this event on Tuesday. It will be in the Yangtze Lecture Theatre on the 2nd floor of CBG!

We are pleased to invite you to our event, Transnational Litigation and the Venues for Seeking Justice for the Mariana Dam Disaster.

We will be welcoming Tom Goodhead, CEO of Pogust Goodhead who is currently litigating the class action against BHP; José Eduardo Cardozo, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General; Antônio Carlos de Almeida Castro (Kakay), a prominent criminal lawyer; and Marcelo Turbay, lawyer and Professor at the University of Brasília. The event will be chaired by Professor Veerle Heyvaert, Associate Dean of LSE Law School and an expert in Transnational Environmental Law.

The LSESU Brazilian Society, in collaboration with KCLSU Brazilian and Diplomacy societies, are happy to announce this years’ visit to the Brazilian Embassy!

Brazilian Ambassador Antonio de Aguiar Patriota will be discussing BRICS and the Global South as key actors in democratising international institutions. This will be an insightful event on Brazil’s geopolitical and regional role, situated within the wider debate of reforming global governance.

The event will be on Friday the 18th of October at 14:30-16:00! The embassy is located in 14-16 Cockspur Street, SW1Y 5BL!
