How do we help young people make informed decisions about their futures?

This week, our Years 7–9 pupils took part in Careers Afternoons, exploring a range of roles across marketing, finance, accounting, law and business operations.

A highlight was welcoming alumna Grace Moore from Accenture, who shared insights into her career journey and life in a global professional services organisation. Hearing from our GDST Alumnae network helps bring future pathways to life.

We are proud to provide experiences that build confidence, curiosity and ambition as pupils begin to consider their futures.

Thank you to Grace Moore and colleagues at Accenture for supporting such an inspiring event.

This week's featured artists are:
Florence (Year 7)

Artwork of the week on Friday showcased a series of collaborative photographs created by our talented Year 9 pupils. As part of their photography project, pupils have been learning how to use DSLR cameras and experiment with a variety of lenses. Their challenge was to use black and white photography to transform everyday materials and objects into something unexpected, elevating the ordinary through composition, contrast and perspective.

The results were both intriguing and imaginative!

Year 10 Taster Day & Sixth Form Information Evening

The evening showcased the exceptional opportunities available, including GDST LEAD, GDST Space and the University of Cambridge OCR Personal Finance course, all designed to build confidence, independence and ambition for life beyond school.

We were especially proud to welcome inspiring alumnae who shared how Bromley High School Sixth Form shaped their journey to university and beyond. They reflected on the academic stretch, supportive environment and leadership opportunities that helped open doors and build lasting confidence.

Their experiences highlighted the real value of a The Girls' Day School Trust education not just in lessons, but through a lifelong network of mentoring, opportunity and support.

At Bromley High School, being part of the GDST means joining a global community of ambitious and connected women, where school is just the beginning 💙

Pupils from across the GDST (The Girls' Day School Trust) schools came together last week for the inaugural GDST English Literature Symposium, organised in partnership with Bromley High School and Wimbledon High School GDST.

Through inspiring keynote talks, thought provoking seminars and a popular "Blind Date with a Book" exchange, our pupils explored literature beyond the classroom and shared their love of reading.

The day concluded with an engaging pupil panel debate on the relevance of Shakespeare today, showcasing confidence, critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.

A fantastic celebration of literature, discussion and learning. Read more here: https://www.bromleyhigh.gdst.net/news-events/news/30509/
