Last night we hosted our Christmas Choir Concert, one of the biggest events in the Music in Offices calendar. It was a wonderful evening bringing together workplace choirs from SEI, Fleet Street Quarter, Channel 4, and many others to sing side by side and celebrate the season at the beautiful Holy Sepulchre London.

We were proud to support Drum Works as our chosen charity, alongside performances from our choirs, conductors, and trumpeter Sebastian Carpenter. The concert was full of energy, generosity, and a real sense of community.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the evening such a success.

What an incredible evening at Trafalgar Square tonight ❄️🎶

Our choir filled the square with music, and the magic truly began when people from the crowd started joining in. Voices blended, strangers connected, and for a moment the whole community became one warm festive choir in the heart of London.

And yes—even the little ones (four-legged included!) needed some encouragement…

Tomorrow evening we look forward to welcoming our performers from across the City for Sounds of the City – Christmas 2025 at the Blüthner Piano Centre.

This showcase is always a milestone in the MIO calendar – celebrating workplace creativity, professional development through performance, and the unique musical culture that continues to evolve in London’s corporate community.

We’re proud of the diverse repertoire our pupils have prepared – from Beethoven and Chopin to Billy Joel, Piazzolla and brand-new arrangements written by our own MIO musicians.

On Monday, the Clifford Chance Choir took part in a workshop with Emily Dickens from the VOCES8 Foundation — their prize for winning the 2025 MIO Office Choir of the Year.

An inspiring session filled with energy, learning, and beautiful music. 🎄✨

Our November Culture Club was a trip to experience the beautiful evensong at St Paul's Cathedral.
It was lovely to be joined by our choir members and pupils from nearby workplaces - we were in reserved seats in the Quire, right up close to the choir in the stunning space there to take in the stillness and peace. Much needed after a noisy day of budget announcements and briefings!
(Anyone can enjoy evensong at the cathedral daily at 5pm and at 3pm at weekends.)
