Next steps after GCSE…
Choosing A-levels can be daunting for many. At Champion Tuition, we help our year 11 students with making this important choice.
Here are some practical tips for those entering year 11 next year:
1. Choose a subject that you feel confident in - in the end of the day, it is your A-level predicted grades that determine your university offers, therefore it is important to choose a subject you will excel in.
2. Choose a subject you enjoy - if you are taking 3 A-levels, this will be 1/3 of your school week, so choose something you can envision yourself doing for the next 2 years!
3. Check university course requirements - if you already know which direction you would like to go down, check if there are any required subjects for the course you would like to apply for. If you are still unsure, a good option is always a core subject such as a humanity, a science, maths or English.
