The Pericles Foundation // Legacy for the Future

At a conference in Geneva, two young London-based academics were inspired to bridge the academy and policy world. They felt innovative scholarship across the arts, humanities and sciences should be accessible to all and its impact be deep. They went on to establish The Pericles Foundation, named after the great Greek statesman who ushered in the Golden Age of Athens. The foundation is registered in the UK, the Netherlands and the USA. Major breakthroughs occur when all stakeholders cooperate towards realising the goals of a shared vision. A cooperative approach is at the heart of the foundation’s long-term strategy. We have developed an active network of institutional partners across sectors: the academic world, charitable foundations, think tanks, publishing industry, corporations and government. All share a mission to bring the best lessons and ideas to a broad audience and to develop emerging talent.
