Little Forest Folk 7 full time, fully outdoor forest nurseries in London/Surrey immersing 2 to 5-year-olds in nature 💚

We’re passionate about getting as many children as possible outdoors learning, playing and reconnecting with nature. Our forest nurseries are situated in magical sites where children’s imaginations are free to run wild. We follow the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and incorporate learning in a safe and secure outdoor environment, where free play, fresh air, exposure to the natural world and physical activity are an integral part of learning.

🦋This started some wonderful conversations around metamorphosis. The children now can’t wait to see a butterfly fly past, just in case it’s our little friend all grown up!

B is for… Birds 🦜, Butterflies 🦋 & Bug Hunts 🔎!

🌳Watching out for the birds in the trees, bugs under logs & butterflies who flutter by - sharing space with our tiny forest friends is a daily activity. We search high and low, moving our bodies and standing on tip toes - strengthening our muscles & improving our balance as we go!

💚 We build confidence and curiosity as we gather round to look at a caterpillar hanging from a tree by its silk, or a moth paused on a log. We’re learning about the wonderful creatures that share our woodland, fostering a real love for nature along the way!

💚We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful families! They truly recognise our educators' passion and see all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to give our Little Forest Folk-ers the best possible adventures.
