We are all walking each other home. 💛

Hey dear ones,

I want to offer my heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and kindness that has come my way. I have felt the village gather around me in such beautiful support since my recent breast cancer diagnosis. Sharing this so widely isn’t something I would ordinarily do - it’s for sure a step into deep vulnerability. And as I allow myself to breathe and expand, I come into connection too with my deep trust in the strength, support and care of community.

This journey doesn’t really come with a map, and I’m navigating it one moment at a time - while also learning the art of surrender to how it unfolds.

My dear friends have kindly created a fundraiser to support me during this time, helping me access integrative and complementary treatments etc alongside my NHS care.

If you feel called to light a candle, send some healing thoughts, contribute to this circle of support, or simply share it with others - I receive your love and care with deep gratitude - and send you so much love and appreciation in return.

Igniting the ancient fire of community and celebrating our togetherness! ✨🔥

Deep gratitude to everyone who joined our Winter Gathering with such open hearts, uniting in dance and song as we welcomed the turning of the seasons.

Thank you to the and family for bringing our community together and tending the flame of belonging.

Heartfelt thanks to the incredible musicians, altar creators, all the helpers who held the container - and to for the delicious cacao that nourished us.

What good medicine it is to celebrate our togetherness through movement, music, prayer, and reverence for the seasons’ sacred cycle. Wishing you all warmth and wellbeing as we journey towards the Winter Solstice.

I’m always in awe of how the elements respond when we gather in ritual space. Grace entered - bathing us in light, stillness, and deep communion.

Drumming and dancing awaken the ancient pulse within our bones 🔥

The rhythm ignites the heartbeat of community and connection - it is profound medicine!

So much gratitude to , , and the incredible Penchmi Village Drummers: , , , and Christian - for joining our ceremony once again and bringing such vibrant rhythms and radiant energy.

Thank you to all the incredible humans that joined and danced so deeply. Wow! To weave in these ways with you all truly lights up my being!!

Having been deeply connected to the journey of impermanence, and exploring it through many books and reflections - it’s a great honour to be invited by .artuso and the to join an immersive day designed to shift how we see life, death, and transformation.

This full-day conference gathers explorers, researchers, ritualists, and futurists to honour Death - the fundamental essence of nature’s cycles, yet so often avoided in modern Western culture.

After a day of depth, reflection, and dialogue - we’ll move into release and celebration.

The evening begins with tribal sounds from Dembis Thioung , an Ancestral West African Rhythm Keeper, opening the space with rhythms that honour death and the spiritual realm. If you’ve been to our ceremonies you probably know this amazing human!

I’ll then join him to guide you in dance and ritual movement - to dance deeply and integrate all that the day has stirred.

To close, we’ll immerse in a LIVE Bwiti concert from Gabon, carried by the resonant sounds of the mugongo (mouth bow) and other traditional instruments - ending the night in unity, with voices joined in mantra, carrying us into stillness.

What a blessing to open our ceremony with a representative of both wisdom and the future generations.

Deep gratitude to little Ndayethioro Nina, daughter of dear Maite and Dembis, and to our beloved friend Dennis for kindling the flame at the heart of our altar.

Thank you , for opening with the ancestral drum - its invocation reverberating through every cell of the body. It's a profound honour to weave with you in these ways. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for what you and your beloved bring to the world!

Across the arc of time - past, present, and future - we send our prayers for healing and peace.

Rooted in presence and rising in rhythm - step into our Saturday morning dance sanctuary, a space to move, release, and recharge. Guided by Mira Khanya, this transformative journey of expressive movement is shaped and inspired by carefully curated music - from tribal rhythms and ethno-electronica to medicine music and sacred tones. Infused with intention and reverence for life, the dance invites embodied awareness, compassionate presence, and connection - nurturing community and co-creative flow. With deep foundations in Movement Medicine® and a background in dance, theatre, and the healing arts, Mira’s work opens pathways for exploration, reflection, and inspiration.

Everyone is welcome - all abilities, identities, and backgrounds. No dance experience is needed. This is a substance-free, consent-centred space. Suitable for ages 16+.

The space & schedule - hosted at The Sanctuary - &Soul Shoreditch, a 194 sqm double-height warehouse, bringing the spirit of festivals and retreats into the city. Doors open at 10:00am, and the dance runs 10:30am-12:30pm. Before or after, unwind in the Sensorium Spa (sauna, ice baths - ticket holders receive 25% off) or enjoy plant-based food, cacao, and elixirs at the café.

Reflections from past events - participants describe Mira’s dance journeys as deeply transformative, uplifting and heart-opening.
