Our students, parents & volunteers have prepared a rich programme, including:

- Traditional Lion Dance with a dramatization of the Legend of Nin
- Guzheng performance
- Traditional Chinese dance
- “Happy New Year” songs in Chinese
- Chinese 🎶
- Calligraphy demonstration
- Money God handing out red packets 🧧
- Raffle with exciting prizes 🎁

🌟 A Joyful Start to the New School Year 🌟

On Saturday 20 September 2025, we warmly welcomed students, parents, guardians and grandparents back to the CCACIC Hackney Chinese Community School. The energy was electric as our amazing learners shared stories from their summer break, reunited with old friends, and embraced new classmates with open hearts.

Across our Playgroup, Children’s Classes and Adult Classes, everyone received an exciting overview of this year’s Cantonese & Mandarin syllabus—setting the tone for a year of meaningful learning and cultural connection.

🎉 A special highlight: our Foundation Mandarin students celebrated Ren Hao’s birthday with joy and laughter, singing “Happy Birthday” in Chinese! It was a beautiful moment of friendship, encouragement, and shared progress on the Chinese language journey.

🙏 We extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated volunteer teachers, whose passion and commitment make our school a thriving community.

🐲 2025 Dragon Boat Fundraiser: A Huge Success! 🎉

What an incredible day at Charing Cross Library Westminster Libraries & Archives on Sunday, 8 June 2025! Our Dragon Boat Celebration & Fundraiser was a fantastic success, filled with joy, community spirit, and exciting workshops.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, participated, and supported our mission. Your enthusiasm made this event truly special!

💙 Special appreciation to our dedicated School Governors, Mrs. Helen Marisa Fung and Mr. Bowie Cheung, our Headteacher Dr. Bonnie Kwok as well as Master Li for leading the event, and to our Head of Mandarin, Mrs. Ying Nedjari, for her invaluable support in securing the Barclays Community Match Fund for our school, a not-for-profit organisation. Also a big Thank you to our amazing teaching team for volunteering at our event: Catherine LM Ben Lau, Ben Ng, Vincy Lau, Lillian Li and Astrid Kong.

🌸 Happy International Women’s Day from all of us at the CCACIC London Hackney Chinese Community Sch 🌸

Today, we celebrated the incredible contributions of women in our lives and society. As part of the celebration, our students engaged in a meaningful activity: they learnt to craft beautiful paper flowers to honour the inspiring female figures in their lives. 💐

In addition, our students practised saying 'Happy International Women’s Day' in both: Cantonese 婦女節快樂 and Mandarin 妇女节快乐 , embracing the richness of language and culture. ✨

Through these activities, we also explored the significance of International Women’s Day, highlighting themes of equality, empowerment, and the ongoing journey towards a more inclusive world.

Let us continue to recognize and appreciate the remarkable achievements of women everywhere, while encouraging the next generation to advocate for positive change.

Together, we create a brighter future! ✨💪

Another fun day learning Cantonese and Mandarin in London Hackney Chinese Community Sch through play, games, songs and art. Our Foundation Cantonese students had a busy morning practising the classic Cantonese tongue twister 'The Big Mac' 🍔 巨無霸急口令, while our Mandarin Playgroup students had fun learning about numbers through an exciting fishing game. Well done to all our amazing students and teachers! ⭐

Our students and parents enjoyed a wonderful Dragon Boat Festival celebration last week at London Hackney Chinese Community School: we learnt about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, folded a paper boat and wrapped delicious rice dumplings.
