Over Rosh Hashanah, our pilot Accessibility Support Box helped make services more accessible and inclusive for members of our community.

The positive feedback showed just how important these resources are in helping people feel welcomed, supported and able to participate with confidence.

Building on that success, we’re delighted to introduce our new ‘Yom Kippur Service Guide’, designed to help make the Yom Kippur service easier to follow and more accessible for those who may benefit from additional support.

For the people we support, accessibility creates opportunities to take part in community life in a meaningful way. For our wider community, it helps ensure that everyone can engage, connect and feel included.

This National Inclusion Week, we’re celebrating something that reminds us that inclusion is about so much more than just employment. It’s about belonging, participation and being part of community life.

Because for us, inclusion is not limited to the workplace. It extends to every part of life.

Deena, her support worker Georgia, and the ladies at Good Days took a quiet moment yesterday for Tashlich gathering by the water to reflect, read the traditional Hebrew verses, and take part in the symbolic act of casting their sins away.

It was a calm, thoughtful way to step into Yom Kippur with meaning and intention.

When Simon joined Kisharon Langdon 17 years ago, he was looking for support, direction and the chance to build an independent life.

Since then he has embraced every opportunity, building workplace skills, gaining employment experience and becoming a valued member of his community.

Through our Wohl Employment Programme, Simon began his journey at New Chapters, later securing paid work and continuing to grow in confidence. He now volunteers at the Equal Gift and Homeware Store and the British Heart Foundation. Simon says: “I enjoy meeting customers and working in the shop.”

His story shows what inclusion looks like in practice. With the right support, people can build skills, independence and a sense of belonging.

Through our Wohl Employment Project:
• 72 people who we support are actively working/volunteering externally to Kisharon Langdon.
• The programme now works with 64 unique employer partners.
• Recent placements include an administrative role at KMP Property Management, and the team is liaising with Super Star Sport NW London for a member to become a PE/Sports Coach.

We’re also expanding our partnership with the Dangoor Centre at Bevis Marks Synagogue, with five new volunteers beginning placements soon.

This National Inclusion Week, we’re celebrating Simon and the many people we support who continue to show what is possible when everyone is given the chance to belong.

The past week has been full of learning, creativity and delicious baking for the people we support💙

We joined Jewish Care at Sandringham for a hands‑on Rosh Hashanah session, baking honey cookies and making bright Shana Tova cards.

Our Ask The Rabbi session with Rabbi Dr. Harvey Belovski brought thoughtful conversation too. People asked brilliant questions such as “Why do we do the Tashlich ritual?” and “What do I do if I want to keep kosher and my housemates don’t”. A really open and meaningful discussion.

At Arts and Crafts, everyone created their own My New Year Tree, decorating it with personal wishes and resolutions for the year ahead.

The people we support at Good Days spent time preparing trays of symbolic foods, the simanim, ready to go out to our supported living services for Rosh Hashanah. A lovely way to share tradition and care across our community.

A gentle, hopeful finish to a week filled with connection and sweetness as we head into the new year.

Yesterday’s golf day at Hartsbourne Country Club was a huge success, raising over £55,000 for Kisharon Langdon.

A massive congratulations to our winners Max Sachon, Mark Sachon, Joe Marsh and Michael Posner who played brilliantly throughout.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors GRIGGS and ᴘᴀᴛʀᴏɴ ʟᴀᴡ and to Tony Franks for his brilliant leadership as chairman of Kisharon Langdon golf day, for helping make it all happen.

As GRIGGS put it, “A brilliant event for a very worthwhile cause. Thank you to everyone involved in organising the day.”

What a fantastic day for teamwork, generosity and community spirit. We are looking forward to the next one!
