As the new school year begins in Lowestoft, East Suffolk, a young girl named Olivia steps into a journey reflective of the broader challenges in her community. At six, the same age as my daughter, Olivia confronts a choice between two futures. 🛤️

The shadow of the pandemic lingers, with many children concluding their primary education without mastering basic arithmetic—a direct consequence of disrupted learning during these unprecedented times. 📚
In a decade, Olivia might navigate the enticing 'buy now, pay later' culture, potentially succumbing to a cycle of debt that could strangle her aspirations. 💳➡️🔗 In the UK, this is not uncommon; countless young adults find themselves in a similar predicament, which contributes to over half of the mental health issues related to financial stress. 💔

However, an alternate route is the 'Change the Game' path. 🌟 Envision Olivia in a classroom where financial education is as engaging as a game. Here, attendance and progress in math earn her RedSTART pounds, teaching her the value of saving and spending wisely. 🏫💷 This innovative approach teaches her practical money management skills. ✏️📏
