DSL is a leading actor conservatoire with graduates working in high profile Theatre, Film, TV and Audio.

DSL was founded over 50 years ago, at the time we had one course. We have since established three highly esteemed Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, and plan to introduce a new course, Foundation Diploma in Performance in 2025. We work out of our wonderful Victorian home in Ealing as well as nearby modern studios owned by UWL. We are proud of our reputation as one of the founding members of the Federation of Drama Schools and leaders in professional actor training. We became part of the University of West London in 2020 and this has enabled to continue to develop new and exciting opportunities for our trainee actors.

🎭 2026 Graduate Season Retrospective 🎭

A week since our final graduate play of the year opened at the Riverside Studios, we're looking back on a fabulous season that took audiences to France, Italy, Russia, North America and beyond, telling stories of writers, kings, monsters, intrigue, love, curses and miracles.
