Summer Fête Fun☀️🕶️⛱️

Last week, our fantastic parents’ association, Friends of Wetherby Pembridge, organised an amazing afternoon of fun for our students, staff and parent community!

Everyone enjoyed live music, sweet treats, and rides, with the ‘Sponge the Teacher’ stand being particularly popular! Thank you to FWP for their hard work on this event, and it was a wonderful way to conclude our founding year.

🎤 The countdown is on! This Friday, we are thrilled to be hosting the inaugural Inspired Song Competition - a new celebration of musical talent from across the UK Inspired family of schools.

Bringing together talented young singers from 6 Inspired schools, this exciting event will showcase exceptional voices while creating meaningful connections through a shared love of performance.🌟

🌿☔On Tuesday, Year 8 didn’t let the rain stop them as they explored the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew for a day of outdoor learning!
From sketching vibrant plants in the Princess of Wales Conservatory to studying the science behind their colours, students brought their art skills to life. 🖌🌺
They journeyed through desert and rainforest environments, creating some incredible drawings along the way, and took part in an expert-led session on photosynthesis, biomes, and plant adaptations. 🌵

Our students put on a fantastic performance of Alex - a modern take on ‘Alice in Wonderland’ - over the past two nights in the Wetherby Pembridge Theatre. The talent and hard work shown by all those involved was outstanding!

What a day!

We hosted our first Open Day of the term yesterday, with 500 people through the door over 4 sessions!

From interactive Science lessons with dissections and flame tests, Fitness Testing in our Gym area, and talks from some of our students and current parents, families were able to experience what life is like at Wetherby Pembridge.

What a fantastic first week back! Our students have kept themselves busy - winning several gold medals at an Athletics fixture at Battersea park, celebrating Smyth Day with an afternoon tea, and Drama rehearsals for our upcoming production of ‘Alex’!
