📚World Book Day at Magic Steps!
Apologies for the late post… but we couldn’t not share these lovely moments from our World Book Day celebrations!
The children had such a fantastic day dressing up as their favourite characters and bringing stories to life. We spotted some amazing outfits including a brave Superman 🦸‍♂️, a beautiful Supergirl 🦸‍♀️, a magical witch 🧙‍♀️, a fierce dragon 🐉, and even a cuddly Paddington Bear 🐻!
Throughout the day, the children enjoyed sharing stories, exploring books and getting creative with lots of fun activities inspired by their favourite tales.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful mums, families and carers who joined us on Monday for our Mother’s Day afternoon 💖
It was so special to see everyone taking part in the activities, sharing smiles, and making lovely memories together. The children absolutely loved having you there and were so proud to show you their nursery and join in with the fun 🥰

Well done to all of the children for doing such a fantastic job in their performances — they were amazing!
Thank you to everyone who came along to watch and support them. We are so proud of all the children and their hard work.
We also had a very special visit from Santa 🎅 and the children loved visiting him in the Magic Steps Grotto!

We had so much fun on Friday being spotty for Children in Need! The children and staff looked fantastic in their spotty clothing. From going on a “spot hunt” to making playdough Pudseys, the children had a wonderful time.

Today we took time to reflect and remember. ❤️
Our little ones explored lots of creative, sensory activities to mark Remembrance Day:
-Babies enjoyed exploring our poppy-themed edible sensory tray and created their own poppy pictures using soft tissue paper.
- Little L’s carefully arranged petals to make their own poppies, and also made beautiful red poppies from cupcake cases and paint.
- Pixies had fun mixing colours in the tuff tray, creating handprint poppies, and making striking silhouette soldiers.
It was a lovely day of creativity, curiosity, and remembrance. 🌺

A *huge* thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our Halloween party — it was wonderful to see so many of you! 💜

The children had an amazing time making potions, exploring pumpkins in the sensory trays, creating their own mummies and bats, and showing off their best spooky dance moves! 🧙‍♀️🕸️🦇

It was such a fun-filled day — full of laughter, creativity, and a few little frights! Thank you all for helping make it so special. 🧡🖤

A huge thank you to all our wonderful parents and families for your generous donations to St Matthew’s Church Harvest Festival! 🙏💛
Some of our children and staff safely delivered the donations to the church yesterday. The children loved helping to place all the items on the table and were so proud to be part of something that helps others.
A special thank you to Reverend Urmila for taking the time to talk with the children about the importance of sharing and giving — such a lovely message to celebrate this season of kindness and gratitude. 🍎✨

This week we say goodbye to our wonderful children who are moving on to school and their exciting next steps. We are so proud of each and every one of them, and we will miss them all so much! ✨

🎓 Graduation 2025 🎓
This week, we said a heartfelt goodbye to many of our wonderful Pixies, who are off to start their next big adventure at school this September!

They celebrated in true Magic Steps style—with plenty of singing, dancing, laughter, and hugs with their friends and teachers. We’re so proud of how much they’ve grown, learned, and blossomed during their time with us. 🌟

Of course, no graduation would be complete without receiving their special scrolls from Charlie! 🐻🎓

Wishing all of our graduates the very best of luck as they begin school. We’ll miss you so much and hope you’ll pop in one day to show us your shiny new uniforms! 💛👋

June has been another fun-filled and busy month at Magic Steps! Here's a little peek into what the children have been up to across the rooms:

Babies Room
Our babies have loved getting involved in sensory and creative activities this month. They’ve enjoyed:
• Playing with bubbles 🫧
• Baking yummy fruit scones 🧑‍🍳
• Splashing around during water play in the garden 💦

Little L’s Room
It’s been a month of exploration and learning through play! The children enjoyed:
• Relaxing and stretching with yoga 🧘‍♀️
• Rescuing mini bugs trapped in ice – a cool sensory science activity 🐞
• Learning simple sign language to support early communication ✋

Pixies Room
Our Pixies have been busy getting creative and imaginative with:
• Making their own pretend ice creams using shaving foam🍦
• Lots of dinosaur-themed play and adventures 🦖
• Creating fabulous lion crafts inspired by our Book of the Month: “Lion Needs a Haircut” 🦁💇
