Capital City College celebrates success in Netball, Table Tennis and Badminton at AOC Regional Championships 🏆
The sporting competition, which took place at Redbridge Sports and Leisure Centre on 4 December, saw students test their skills in Netball, Table Tennis and Badminton. The CCC sport team included 23 students from various college centres and courses.

Creative Media and Music students entertain and impress with celebratory Christmas Concert

The event, which took place on 17 December at the college’s Tottenham centre gave students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and development as part of an exciting live performance.

Congratulations to our former Chair of Governors, Alastair Da Costa, on his CBE for services to Further Education, announced in today's New Year's Honours list!
Alastair was the Chair of Capital City College from its inception when it was formed from the merger of City and Islington College and Westminster Kingsway College in 2016, followed by a second merger in 2017 with the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London. Before that, he was Chair of City and Islington College, where he had been Chair since 2014 and a governor since 2011.
Michael Davis, the newly appointed chair at Capital City College, said: ‘The awarding of a CBE to Alastair is recognition of his enormous contribution to Capital City College, but also to further education as a whole. Alastair’s leadership and belief in others has been inspirational and unwavering, and this award is just testament to this.'

Creative Skills Academy shortlisted for prestigious Apprenticeship and Training Awards
Capital City College (CCC)’s Creative Skills Academy has been shortlisted for the Apprenticeship and Training Awards (ATA) 2025 in the category of Best Workplace Readiness Scheme. The awards, which are organised in association with FE Week and City & Guilds, recognise and celebrate excellence in the UK’s apprenticeship and training sector across 20 Award Categories.

Capital City College Basketball team wins regional championships for third consecutive year 🏀
Sporting students from Capital City College (CCC) have taken home the title of regional Association of Colleges (AOC) Sport Basketball London Regional Champions for the third consecutive year. The regional championships were hosted at the Score Leisure Centre in Leyton Score on 13 November.

Mace Group visits Green Skills Academy for interactive Green Careers event
On 11 December, a group of 18 students from Domestic Retrofit courses attended the Mace Group event at CCC’s Tottenham centre. Social Value Managers Sara Wright, Cory Ricketts and Oliver Kiely from Mace Group led the day’s activities which were organised in collaboration with Mishary Alfahad, Head of the Green Skills Academy.

Animal Care students get hands-on experience at Vauxhall City Farm 🐔
A group of Capital City College (CCC) students from the Animal Care – Level 2 Diploma course are currently taking part in a 12-week work experience Programme at Vauxhall City Farm.
At CCC, all students on full-time study programmes complete a work experience placement within the relevant sector. We work with a range of work experience providers to give students the opportunity to apply and enhance their skills and help them gain valuable experience working within their chosen industry.
