Art is different when you stand in front of it.

This September, contemporary artist Ann Generlich brings a collection of original works to The Old Fire Station Gallery in Henley-on-Thames.

Moving between the organic and the geometric, Ann's work explores the human form, nature and connection through colour, texture, material and line.

Institute of Aikido Summer School 2026 — Scotland

A full week dedicated to Aikido practice, development and friendship.

A big thanks to William Timms for organising and heading this year’s Institute of Aikido Instructors course and Dan grading event.

I had the opportunity to try out for my 2nd Dan, which, as luck would have it, I was awarded. Congrats go to James Collins, who was also awarded his 2nd Dan. A big thanks to John Kingsbury for his patience and help in trying to smooth off my rough edges and, of course, a massive thank you to Terry and Iain for all your hard work; not only being the uke for the day (hard enough as that is), but also in helping me through the syllabus. Without you two, I wouldn’t have had a chance.
