12 questions to ask your class this week to improve your teaching next year. Use the last week of school to get an insight to the children’s perspective of your teaching.

- What were the most memorable learning objectives this year?
- How have you worked best this year…? As an Individual? In a Group? With a Partner?
- Did you understand all of the instructions given to you in the lessons?
- Have you been praised during the lessons?
- Have you heard other pupils being praised in the lessons?
- Did the behaviour of others affect your learning?
- Did you feel challenged in your learning? If No, why not?
- Was the learning exciting this year? Ask for an example.
- Were you motivated to achieve and be successful this year?
- Do you feel you have made progress towards your life goals this year?
- How do you know if you have made good progress?
- What feedback have you been given during the year?

This can be an excellent performance analysis technique for upgrading your own teaching and can allow you to plan changes to your lessons based on pupil voice.
