🏁 HANLEY YATES KARTING UPDATE 🏁

Last weekend saw Hanley back on track for Round 4 of the championship as he continues his push at the sharp end of the standings.

Currently sitting 2nd in the championship, Hanley has been putting in the work behind the scenes with extra practice sessions, valuable track time and plenty of preparation in the lead-up to race day.

Karting is about much more than what happens on race day. It's about commitment, consistency and the willingness to keep improving every time you get behind the wheel.

We're proud to support a young driver who continues to show dedication, professionalism and a genuine passion for motorsport.

As Hanley continues his journey both on the track and towards a future career within the automotive industry, we look forward to following his progress throughout the rest of the season.

WORK EXPERIENCE IS BACK.

The Government has announced a major investment in youth employment, including plans to create 300,000 new work experience and training placements over the next three years as part of a wider £2.5 billion package designed to support young people into employment.

For us, that's welcome news.

At just 15 years old, Hanley is already making a name for himself on the karting circuit while also preparing for a future career in the motor industry.

Later this year, Hanley will begin training as a mechanic, combining his passion for motorsport with practical skills that could lead to a long-term career in the automotive sector.

Karting has become much more than a hobby. It has helped him develop confidence, focus, resilience and determination, qualities that continue to show both on and off the track.

As a young driver competing in local championships, Hanley has already demonstrated an impressive commitment to improving his craft and pushing himself to achieve more every time he gets behind the wheel.

We're delighted to be supporting the expansion of the Schools Programme through a new partnership with Build School of Construction and Ealing Alternative Provision (EAP).

This exciting development will see practical, industry-focused training delivered directly within a school environment, helping young people gain valuable hands-on experience in both Motor Vehicle and Construction pathways.

Not every student thrives in a traditional classroom setting. For many young people, practical learning provides an opportunity to build confidence, develop workplace skills and discover career paths that genuinely excite them.

Through this programme, students will have access to real industry-related learning in areas including motor vehicle maintenance, construction, electrics, plumbing, renewables and outdoor crafts, alongside the personal development, teamwork and employability skills needed for future success.

At North London Garages, we're passionate about creating opportunities for young people and helping them access meaningful pathways into apprenticeships, employment and further education. This latest partnership is another positive step towards ensuring more students can benefit from practical learning experiences that prepare them for the future.

Another brilliant performance from Hanley this week 👏🏁

After qualifying P4 against a very competitive grid, Hanley showed real determination during the sprint race, fighting his way back through the field after a difficult opening corner dropped him several places behind.

With consistent pace and full focus throughout the race, he managed to close a gap of several seconds and finish strongly in P4, right on the back of the podium places by the final laps.

Most importantly, every race continues to build valuable experience and confidence ahead of the next championship rounds.

We are proud to support Hanley throughout his first karting season and look forward to seeing his continued progress both on and off the track.
