Welcome back to Heath House! We’ve missed you! 💙

We hope your summer was packed with sunshine, relaxation, and unforgettable family moments.

The corridors of Tranquil Hall, Wemyss Road and The Old Library have been far too quiet without you. We cannot wait to fill each building once again with cheerful chatter, bright smiles and laughter.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting ready for an amazing term ahead. You can look forward to some exciting updates to our curriculum, alongside fresh new ways we’ll be guiding and organising our daily learning journeys to help every child thrive!

🌟 Celebrating our Fantastic Prep Year 6 Pupils! 📚✨

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome parents, families, and pupils from across the school to our Prep Year 6 Showcase of Work!

The event was a wonderful opportunity to share everything these brilliant children have completed and achieved throughout the year. We are so incredibly proud of our Prep Year 6 pupils. They have worked exceptionally hard across the entire academic year, from passing their 11+ exams and flying off to Lisbon, to delivering a fantastic leavers’ assembly and learning all their lines for the Summer Production (plus a whole lot more!).

🗣️ Future Leaders in Action

One of the highlights of the showcase was seeing the children talk directly with adults about their achievements and what they are most proud of. Developing this level of confidence and communication is a huge skill that we constantly push and encourage, and they absolutely excelled at it (as usual)!

Smiles, sweat, and a special shoutout! 🌟

Our Upper School pupils headed to for the amazing Triathlon event.

Designed as a fun introduction to the sport, our children loved “dipping their toes” into swimming, biking and running - smiling and laughing the whole way through! 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Not only did they bag some awesome goodie bags, but they also met Alex Yee himself! He is a wonderfully humble role model who took the time to chat, sign autographs and inspire all of our children.

To top off a perfect day, Alex pulled Mr Williams aside to praise how polite and well-mannered our pupils were.

That’s the real gold medal right there! 🥇💙

As always, we are so proud of our children! ⭐

🐻🥪 Teddy Bears’ Picnic Success! 🥪🐻

Our wonderful EYFS and Key Stage 1 children had the most magical afternoon for our annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic!

Clutching their favorite cuddly friends tightly, the children headed to Blackheath Pond for a bit of wildlife spotting. We said a big hello to the local ducks, geese and birds, who seemed very curious about our furry visitors! 🦆🦢

After a lovely stroll, it was time to share some treats and play some outdoor games.

It was a picture-perfect afternoon spent playing with friends—both the classmate variety and the cuddly ones! 🥰

✨ From a tiny bubble to big learning! ✨

Inspired by our little Rosie in Reception bringing bubbles into school to play with, the EYFS children decided to team up and see if we could make even bigger bubbles! 🫧

This sweet moment turned into a wonderful learning adventure. Our little ones:

🗣️ Chattered away, exploring new words like float, soapy, and pop!

🤝 Practised sharing, patiently waiting for their turns and cheering their friends on.

👁️ Chased the magic, watching the beautiful light reflections in the air.

🧠 Discovered cause and effect, learning the very important scientific rule: if you touch a bubble, it will burst! 💥

It’s amazing how much science, connection, and pure joy can come from a single bubble. 🪄💖

✨ Magical moments in EYFS! ✨

We are bursting with pride celebrating the outstanding success, literacy skills, and phonics progress of our youngest learners! 📚✨

Our children absolute love our program, and it shows! From mastering their phonics sounds to tackling those ‘tricky words,’ they are flying through their levels. But for us, it’s never just about rushing through the stages.

We believe in reading for deep understanding. Our children re-read their books to ensure full comprehension and processing have truly taken place. 🧠💡

Every single day, we listen to our children read and it’s the best part of our day! We can literally see and feel their imaginations growing and new connections being made in their minds. It is truly magical to witness. 🧚‍♂️✨

🏆 A massive congratulations to all of our EYFS children for your incredible, hard work and progress.

❤️ A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who pour so much love and effort into every lesson.

🙌 And a special shout-out to our wonderful Prep Year 6 pupils, who regularly visit to share the joy of reading and read a book to our little ones!

⭐ UKMT Maths Challenge Update! 🦘🔢⭐

A massive well done to all of our wonderful pupils who took part in the first round of the UKMT Challenge!

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you for diving into such complex problem-solving. Your hard work, mathematical curiosity and determination to tackle these tricky puzzles was fantastic to see. 🔢✨

We also want to wish the absolute best of luck to the 4 pupils who have achieved the wonderful achievement of being invited back to take part in the second round, the Kangaroo Challenge.

Those children will be tackling the challenging round tomorrow! 🦘📐

A huge Heath House thank you to the wonderful Mr Urquhart for delivering a spectacular assembly today! 🛢️✨

Mr Urquhart took us on a fascinating journey through the world of oil. Exploring exactly where it comes from, how it reaches us and its many uses in our everyday lives.

But the excitement didn’t stop there! We also got a brilliant insider look into the fast-paced world of trading. Our children had to think on their feet, choosing to become ‘bulls’ or ‘bears’ as they reacted to live news, announcements and global events.

We quickly learnt just how much current events shape the decisions people make every day. 🌍📊

The assembly was informative, interesting and packed with humour. (And we have to say, the genius use of AI was an absolute masterstroke! 🤖💡)

Thank you so much, Mr Urquhart, for sharing your expertise and keeping us all so thoroughly entertained!
