"I'd love to be able to sing, but...."
Sing Therapy Foundation Course, enrolling now. Starts June 23rd for 5 weeks.
🌸 Sing Therapy™ has developed over 30 years, through teaching hundreds of clients and noticing that many people had similar "stories" underlying how they identified with their voice.
"I'd love to be able to sing, but...."
People have experienced shame, anxiety, confusion and regret around singing - instead of the fun, uplifting and therapeutic activity it could be!
My mission, with Sing Therapy™ is to put that right, in a way that anyone can access.
It is a unique blend of vocal training and holistic practice.
This foundation course, live on zoom, includes breathwork, vocal toning, sound healing, gentle movement, journalling, and mindful self-reflection, all woven together with proven vocal techniques from various voice modalities, from Bel Canto to Natural Voice.
My qualifications in Life Coaching and Clinical Hypnosis support the safe, relaxing space I create for people who work with me. My 40+ years (!) experience as an award winning classical/crossover singer cover the singing part….
Whatever your story, I believe your voice matters. It’s about more than just “sounding better” - it’s about feeling authentic, connected to your voice and yourself.
Sing Therapy is more than your voice.

Don’t you think they sound great after a 5 minute run through and improvised harmonies? 🌸
Maybe it’s the saffron cake… 🍪🍪🍪🍪
A few moments from our lovely Sing Therapy/Kana Lowen workshop in Mousehole on Saturday.
This was a rehearsal of Wild Mountain Thyme, with improvised harmonies, accompanied by Rick on shruti and guitar 🎶
Framed, exquisitely, by a plate of buttered saffron cake🍪🍪🍪🍪
Big shout out to the intrepid who made all the amazing food and drove down to Mousehole from the Roseland at 7.30am in that storm and still got to the before me and I was just up the road!
We all had a fabulous day. Lovely people and a joyful vibe.
Big hugs to for helping in so many ways!
Can’t wait to do it again💖

What if your voice could show you who you really are?
On this week’s episode of Get Your Happy Back, my conversation with Heather Maîr explores how singing becomes a pathway to self-expression, emotional healing, and inner freedom.
If you’ve ever doubted your voice — or lost it along the way — this will resonate deeply.

What I always say! 😉
My new Sing Therapy™️ courses start in January.
here’s why singing does more for your body than most people realize.
When you sing, your body isn’t just creating sound — it’s activating a powerful chain reaction inside your immune system. The deep breaths you take while singing increase oxygen flow, reduce stress hormones, and signal your body to release endorphins that boost your overall mood. But the biggest secret? Singing has been shown to increase the production of antibodies, your body’s natural defense fighters, helping you ward off sickness and strengthen resilience.
Every note you sing becomes a small act of self-healing. It stimulates circulation, relaxes your nervous system, and creates a powerful emotional release that your brain translates into physical benefits. That’s why people who sing — even casually — often feel lighter, stronger, and healthier afterward.
Whether you’re performing on stage, humming in the shower, or singing along in your car, your body is responding in ways you can’t see but definitely feel. So sing loudly, sing often, and let your body thank you for it.
