A huge congratulations to all our Year 11 students who received their GCSE and Level 2 results today!

We are incredibly proud of their hard work and achievements, including:

⭐ 94% pass rate in Engineering
⭐ 100% achieved grade 7+ in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics
⭐ 60% achieved grade 4+ in GCSE Maths

As our students take their next steps into sixth form, further education, apprenticeships and employment, we wish them every success for the future.

A huge congratulations to our Year 13 students, who received their A Level & vocational qualification results today.

It was wonderful to see students celebrating with friends, families and staff after years of hard work and dedication. From university offers to prestigious apprenticeships, today's results have opened the door to exciting futures.

We are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved and cannot wait to see what they accomplish next!

Technical education is firmly in the national spotlight.

New Government proposals would see more students accessing technical and vocational learning from age 14, alongside core academic subjects and employer experiences. UTCs have been leading the way with this model for over a decade!

The government wants pupils to take courses like AI and manufacturing which are linked to local jobs.

Yesterday, our Year 10 & Year 12 students took part in a 'Project Regeneration' Challenge Day, working alongside professionals from the digital infrastructure sector.

Students were challenged to work in teams to develop an innovative proposal to transform a decommissioned power station site into a self-contained smart city, incorporating housing, commercial space, sustainability, digital infrastructure and data centre technologies. They then were asked to present their ideas to the employer panel of judges!

A huge thank you to our fantastic Digital Futures Programme partners ; Yondr Group, CyrusOne, DataX Connect, VIRTUS Data Centres, JLL, Vertiv, LMG, and Digital Realty, for their time and expertise, giving students valuable insight into careers, apprenticeships & opportunities across the data centre industry.

Congratulations to all our students, and especially to the winning teams who took home Amazon vouchers and Yondr merchandise!

We were thrilled to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day 2026 at UTC Heathrow yesterday! 🎉

We welcomed Year 8 students from Hatch End High School and Sacred Heart Language College for a fun, engineering challenge day.

With support from our partners at Amazon Web Services (AWS), students worked together to tackle a real-world problem: reducing plastic pollution in our oceans 🌊

They showed fantastic creativity, teamwork and confidence, presenting their ideas to judges and parents at the end of the day.

A huge thank you to:

✅ Our UTC Heathrow students for volunteering
✅The two local schools for taking part
✅ Our Assistant Headteacher Michelle Reeves for organising such a brilliant event

Earlier this week, lucky year 12 and 13 students had the chance to visit Data Centre World at the Excel Centre. Part of the Tech Show, this event gives our students the chance to explore careers in the digital infrastructure industry.

Supported by mentors from the industry, they spent the day working on careers and curriculum tasks, getting 1:1 coaching and making connections in this fast growing industry. Some left with opportunities for work experience or ideas for apprenticeships, but all left with polished employability skills.

We're really proud of how they represented their school, and to see so many of them buzzing with excitement for their future careers.

Only a few days to go until one of our highlight trips of the year: a day of discovery, one to one coaching and a lot of fun at the biggest event in the digital infrastructure industry calendar, hosted at the Excel Centre in London.

Students have applied to attend, completed a tricky training course and will spend the day exploring career opportunities, finding real-world applications of their academic learning and benefiting from coaching from industry experts.

We can't wait!

Huge thank you to Alex from Creative Hut for visiting our year 10s today and guiding them through a brilliant workshop building and coding Lego robots.

With Alex’s step-by-step guidance and the fantastic support from teachers, students built their very own robot—and absolutely nailed it! The room was full of teamwork, curiosity, problem-solving, and lots of laughs. A fun, hands-on day exploring tech in action and inspiring future innovators!
