Come and join Shaun Lati for our PUPPET-MAKING AND PERFORMING workshops where you can learn professional techniques to build your very own puppet from scratch and how to bring it to life for an end-of-week showcase.

Shaun is currently the puppet supervisor on DISNEY'S FROZEN THE MUSICAL in the West End, looking after Olaf and Sven and has worked on several children's TV shows including THE TOY HOSPITAL for Channel 5.

✨TUTOR ANNOUNCEMENT JORDAN SMITH✨
Jordan will be leading our LIGHTING: ILLUMINATING THE STAGE workshops!

Jordan has worked in the West End for over 10 years, beginning as a lighting technician on We Will Rock You at The Dominion Theatre through to his current position as Deputy Head Of Electrics at His Majesty’s Theatre on the world-famous The Phantom Of The Opera. He has also worked at some of London’s biggest and most prestigious theatres (Theatre Royal Drury Lane- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; 42nd Street, The Gillian Lynne Theatre- School Of Rock). Growing up in West London himself, Jordan started off on small independent productions for friends, then gained experience through a recommendation, shadowing in West End venues and has never looked back.

Shaun Lati trained as a puppeteer with The Little Angel Theatre. He has worked on many projects as a puppeteer, puppet maker and costume maker. He is currently the Puppet Supervisor for Frozen the Musical and has been with the production since opening in 2021. His television credits include; You Magnificent Beast (Netflix), Makeaway Takeaway (CiTV), and The Toy Hospital (Channel 5).

PUPPET-MAKING AND PERFORMING with Shaun Lati

A new and exciting 5-day course with experienced puppet supervisor Shaun Lati (Frozen The Musical, Magnificent Beast- Netflix). Get hands on designing and creating your own puppet, and exploring the different performance techniques used in shows such as ‘War Horse’, ‘The Life Of Pi’, ‘The Lion King’, and ‘My Neighbour Totoro’.

My mission is to ignite young people’s passions and help them explore new skills in the entertainment industry, whether that be backstage, on set or throughout the creative process.

I’ve been working backstage for over 5 years on shows such as Les Miserables, Frozen The Musical, Matilda, and The Phantom Of The Opera and I’m really excited to be bringing these opportunities to for young people to explore, learn new skills and maybe even find a passion they never knew they had!
