Ear wax removal is one of the fastest-growing services in community healthcare right now.

Demand continues to rise across pharmacies, GP practices, audiology clinics and private providers yet many clinicians still lack formal training in safe microsuction techniques.

Our Mededly Microsuction Training Academy will assist you on your path to becoming competent.

The two-day ENT-led training programme designed to take healthcare professionals from theory to hands-on practice.

If you’re a pharmacist, nurse, GP, audiologist or healthcare professional looking to introduce and train in ear wax removal services, this course will give you the confidence and practical skills to get you started.

Course Structure

Day 1 (Zoom):
Ear anatomy, wax assessment, safety, infection control, documentation and clinic setup.

Day 2 (In-person practical):
Microsuction technique, equipment training using loupes and OWL otoscope (Audelation Ltd), live demonstrations and supervised practice.

We’re also including free lunch, refreshments and post-course support for all attendees.

A painful nodule on the helix. On examination the lesion has raised edges and central ulceration or crusting. Skin cancer is a differential e.g. nasal cell carcinoma. What is this lesion? Clue: The lesion is thought to be precipitated by pressure, trauma, or cold. Swipe for the answer.
