Wilson's Alumni Network

Wilson's Alumni Network A home for all Old Wilsonians: https://www.wilsons.school/ Welcome to the Wilson’s Alumni Network page on Facebook.

If you are an old student (or teacher) from Wilson’s School we’d love to hear from you. We’re hoping to get in touch with as many Old Boys as possible, both from the current site in Wallington and from boys who attended the school in Camberwell. Over the next month we will be setting up a new website where you’ll be able to register and connect with other Old Boys, as well as find out about what t

he school is currently doing. We will be hosting social events and evenings and you’ll be able to find out all about them here and on our new website. We want to be able to keep in touch with our Old Boys and hear how you’ve been. We also want you to be able to find other Old Boys you were at school with (as well as some you weren’t) so you can network, talk about work and generally reconnect. If you’re in touch with any Old Wilsonians it would be great if you would let them know about this page. And if you have any ideas of how we can further promote the Alumni Network then we’d love to hear from you; please drop us an email at [email protected]

Be sure to follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/wilsonsalumni
We're also on Google+ (http://gplus.to/WilsonsAlumni) and LinkedIn (http://linkd.in/IrXpJo)

We’re looking forward to hearing from you all!

✨ A Level Results Day

⭐️ 80% of Grades A*-A
🌟 43% of Grades A*

Huge congratulations to the Class of 2026 on their excellent results 👏

We have been delighted to welcome our Year 13 and Year 12 students back to school this week to receive their AS and A level results. For our leavers, these grades are a terrific achievement in themselves, but also a passport to places on excellent courses at universities across the country 🎓

Of the 659 A level qualifications taken by students, 620 were awarded grades A*, A or B, with A*s accounting for 43% of all grades 🌟

Impressive though these results are, they tell only a part of the story of these students' remarkable personal and academic development. We know that they will continue to make the most of their talents and opportunities, and we look forward to hearing where their ambitions take them 💭

We send each of them our warmest wishes for the future and hope that, wherever they go and whatever they achieve, they will continue to carry with them the spirit of the school’s motto: Non Sibi Sed Omnibus! 💛

We are sorry to announce that Tahir Khan (Old Wilsonian, 2022) recently passed away.

Nathan Cole, Executive Head, commented: “Tahir combined extraordinary intellect with a generous, kind and unfailingly modest spirit. He embodied the Wilson's ethos from Day 1 of Year 7 and quietly went around - both at school and latterly at university - being brilliant. We are saddened beyond measure by his passing and extend our deepest sympathies to his friends and family, not least his enormously supportive, caring and proud parents."

If you have any memories of Tahir that you would like to be passed on to his family, please direct them (via email) to the Development Office courtesy of Will Straw at [email protected]

🫂 The 1615 Club is now live!

Inspired by the year Wilson’s School was founded, The 1615 Club is our new Alumni Regular Giving programme which encourages Old Wilsonians to support the school on a recurring monthly basis 🎓

All money raised through The 1615 Club directly supports the maintenance and growth of our fantastic co-curricular offering at Wilson’s 💛

Generations of alumni have enjoyed CCF, Chess, Drama, Football, Rugby, Music, Badminton, Debating, Table Tennis, Duke of Edinburgh, and much more at Mollison Drive ♟️🎭⚽️🏕️🏉🎶🏸🗣️🏓🏕️

Members of The 1615 Club are directly supporting the opportunities they themselves enjoyed during their school careers, and are also ensuring all current students – regardless of their family’s own financial situation – are still able to access all co-curricular opportunities at Wilson’s completely free of charge 🫶

🗣️ A message from the Executive Head, Mr Cole...

"Having been named by The Times and Sunday Times as London State School of the Decade in 2020 and Secondary School of the Year in 2024 (State and Independent), we are delighted to add State Secondary School of the Year for GCSEs 2026 to the collection!

I am very proud to lead a school with a community of such talented and warm-hearted pupils, committed and dedicated staff, and as supportive a parent and Old Wilsonian community as any Head could wish for."

Are you an Old Wilsonian that is willing to speak about your current job and career pathway in an assembly setting? 👇

This year - to develop the school’s careers curriculum - we are looking to give Wilson's students more regular exposure to individuals from as broad a range of careers as possible, extending the scope of our existing 'Wilson's Talk!' series 🗣️

20-minute assemblies will take the form of a visiting speaker talking about their career pathway; how they got into their work, the realities of their job, and the education pathway that led them there. Students will then be given a chance to ask any questions they might have 🌟

Alumni that are keen to register an interest in speaking to Wilson's students should complete the following Microsoft Form - thanks in advance for your support, Old Wilsonians: https://forms.office.com/e/eGnmbZeryk

🗣️ | A message from the Executive Head…

“Four hundred and ten years ago today, with land at his disposal and no children of his own, Edward Wilson requested and received permission from King James I to found a school for the poor of the parish in Camberwell.

The school has endured through war (including of course the English Civil War), religious ferment, economic hardship and plague, but it stands - albeit now in Sutton - still.

Happy birthday, Wilson's — and thank you Edward Wilson!”

Wishing Wilsonians around the world the very best on our 410th birthday! 🎂
