LVC Production 2026/27 'Matilda'

We are delighted to have launched next year's school production 'Matilda' today. Students who are currently in Years 6-10 will be able to audition for this exciting production. An email will be sent home to parents/carers of all students in Years 6-10 with details of how to audition. We look forward to seeing many students audition for this exciting musical in September.

Our Orchestra Tour to Belgium has been an unforgettable experience!

As well as showcasing their musical talents with two fantastic performances, including a concert at the beautiful Ostend Bandstand. Our students have enjoyed some amazing cultural experiences. They explored a fascinating chocolate museum, took in the sights on a scenic river tour, and have represented the school brilliantly throughout the trip.

We are incredibly proud of their outstanding performances, exemplary behaviour, and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to the staff who have made this wonderful opportunity possible.

Enrichment Challenge Success

Congratulations to many of our Year 7 students who have recently achieved their Bronze Enrichment Award. To achieve the award, students are required to complete a variety of tasks which have a caring focus in addition to completing numerous independent learning tasks. The LVC values of being a Caring and Independent learner have shone through in the students' work for this challenge.

Our students have returned from an unforgettable Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition in the Peak District. Over the course of the expedition, they navigated challenging routes, carried everything they needed, camped under the stars, and demonstrated outstanding teamwork, resilience, and determination.

Every step of the journey helped build confidence, independence, and lifelong memories. We are incredibly proud of every student for embracing the experience with such positivity and perseverance.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff and volunteers who supported the expedition and helped make it such a success.

Trip to Oliver! In the West End

Last Thursday, almost 50 students watched the West End musical 'Oliver!'. Filled with the most incredible acting, singing and choreography, the students delighted in watching such a captivating musical. The students were inspired and filled with enthusiasm as we returned from the theatre.

We welcomed 120 students from our catchment primary schools to our mini-athletics transition event this week . A team of over 20 sports leaders from Year 10 led a carousel of sports activities to support the incoming Year 7 get to know students from other primary schools.
