🐰🧸✨ Simon’s Weekend Adventures! ✨🧸🐰

Our much-loved nursery bunny teddy, Simon, has been having the most amazing time going home with the children at weekends! 🏡💛

From Peppa Pig World 🐷🎢 to tennis classes 🎾, swimming lessons 🏊‍♀️, trips to London Zoo 🦁🦒, bouncing around on bouncy castles 🎈, exploring the garden 🌿, and enjoying lots of lovely tea parties 🫖🧁 and birthday celebrations 🎂 — Simon really has been keeping busy!

He’s also been treated to some very special meals… although we’re not sure how much of that yummy food he actually managed to eat! 😋🍕🍓🍰

It’s wonderful to see Simon becoming part of so many special family moments and adventures. 💕 Each weekend brings a new experience, and the children love sharing their memories and stories with their friends when Simon returns to nursery.

🍽️ Mealtimes are about so much more than food! 🌱

At Little Pebbles, we serve 100% vegetarian, nutritious and balanced meals to give our children the energy they need to learn, play and grow. 🥕🍎

But mealtimes are also a wonderful opportunity to build independence and confidence. Children are encouraged to feed themselves, make choices and explore different flavours and textures — all while sitting together, chatting, sharing and enjoying each other’s company. 💚

We believe that happy, social mealtimes help children develop healthy relationships with food, confidence and important social skills from an early age. ✨

🌳🛝 Park Adventures! 🌳✨

We had a fantastic time heading out into our local community for a fun-filled trip to the park! 💚

There was plenty to explore, including:

🧗‍♀️ Climbing frames to challenge our strength and confidence
🛝 Slides for plenty of speedy fun!
⚖️ Balancing equipment to test our coordination and concentration
🎠 Swings to see who could soar the highest!

The children had so much fun climbing, balancing, sliding, swinging and cheering each other on. Along the way, they were developing their gross motor skills, coordination, balance and confidence without even realising they were learning! 🌟

It was wonderful to see the children enjoying the fresh air, being active and exploring our local community together. 💕🌳

A simple walk to the park turned into a brilliant afternoon of adventure, laughter and learning through play! 🥰

🚒🔥 An Afternoon of Firefighter Fun! 🔥🚒

What an exciting afternoon at our local fire station! The children had a fantastic time meeting the firefighters and discovering what life is like at the station. 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

Our adventure started with a bus journey to the fire station, which was a wonderful learning experience in itself! 🚌 The children enjoyed travelling together and looking out of the windows.

Once we arrived, there was so much to see and do! The children got to:

🚒 Explore the fire engine and see all the equipment
🪖 Try on a real firefighter’s helmet
🔥 Watch a firefighter slide down the pole
💪 See the gym where firefighters keep fit and ready for action
📞 Visit the control centre
🚨 Hear the sirens in action
💦 See how the firefighters use the hose

The children were also lucky enough to climb inside the fire engine and experience what it might be like to be a firefighter! 🥰

They learned an important safety message too: 999 is the emergency number to call if we ever need the fire and rescue service. 📞🚒

A huge thank you to the wonderful firefighters for welcoming us and making our afternoon so exciting, fun and educational! ❤️

🧘‍♀️✨ Yoga with our Pearls! ✨🧘‍♂️

Our lovely under 2s, the Pearls, had a wonderful yoga session with their teacher at nursery! 💕🌈

The children enjoyed trying lots of different stretches, moving their little bodies and exploring new yoga poses. 🧘‍♀️🌿 They had so much fun taking part!

It was a lovely way to support movement, balance, coordination and wellbeing while having lots of fun together. 🌟💛

🫧🍦 Sensory Fun with our Crystals! 🍓🐠

Our wonderful 2-year-olds, the Crystals, had a fantastic time exploring foam through a variety of fun sensory activities! ✨

The children got creative making their very own foam ice creams 🍦, searched for sea animals hiding in the foam 🐠🐙, and enjoyed discovering hidden fruits and vegetables 🍓🥕.

It was a wonderful sensory experience that encouraged the children to explore, discover and use their imaginations while having lots of fun! 💕🌈

We loved seeing all the excitement, curiosity and messy smiles! 😍

🌞🌑 Exploring the Solar Eclipse! 🌑🌞

On Wednesday, the children enjoyed learning all about the Solar Eclipse! 🌌✨ The children learnt about how an eclipse happens and discovered how the Moon can move in front of the Sun.

Then it was time to get creative! 🎨 The children made their very own solar eclipse by sticking a sun on the paper, pulling a rectangular paper and moving the Moon across to cover the Sun. ☀️🌙

We loved seeing their curiosity, creativity and excitement as they explored this amazing event! 💛
