30yrs teaching experience. Imaginative & creative sessions for children are offered at any stage of their development.

I nurture the creative potential of children and cover all techiques and skills of art. Exciting and imaginatively creative sessions for children at any stage of their development. Children and young people learn skills in drawing, painting, mixed media, collage, textiles, illustration, photography, printmaking, installation, sculpture and theatre/performance. Lessons are bespoke for the needs of each child. They develop the child's imagination and encourage creative thinking and problem solving skills. The lessons improve a child's confidence and nurture independent creative thinkers. Lessons can also take place in galleries, museums, parks, gardens and other sites of interest. I teach children from age three upwards, young people and adults. I teach individuals and groups of up to four children. Many of my students have achieved art scholarships to schools such as: Wellington College, Bradfield, Queens College, Harrodian, Sherbourne. I teach GSCE and A level Art. Past students have gone on to Yale, Leeds University, Durham University, Oxford University, Edinburgh University and more. I am a practicing artist and I exhibit in the UK, Europe and the US. My teaching has been written about in The Sunday Telegraph Magazine, The Financial Times, The London Standard and The Notting Hill Post. Can you remember something you made as a child? Who could ever forget this spectacular castle? Wade age 9 loves history, architecture and castles, knows all about them and wanted to make his own. He collected boxes in various shapes and sizes and mixed a ton of textured paint. It took a few lessons and lots of perseverance by Wade but it was "all worth it" he said!

Why did the tortoise cross the road? Because Robbie age 10 and Ahmad age 7 wanted to include their pet tortoises within their city sculptures, now transformed into film sets. The boys sculptures contained different approaches: one was on Robbie's experiences of New York with added Super Heroes and an earthquake. Ahmad's approach was to invent imaginative architectural forms using many different materials and methods of construction.

Bananas yellow? Carrots orange? - Not here. Holly age 11 and Nell age 12 explored colour and surface by painting fruit and vegetables. Compositions were a "moveable feast" and photographs were the final works. Our preconceptions of the world, abstraction, time and decay were discussed during this project.
