The new measures have been introduced to protect the country against new COVID-19 variants at a critical time for the vaccine programme.

Students from the Philippines, Pakistan, Kenya and Bangladesh can travel to the UK on or before the 9th to avoid the mandatory hotel quarantine.

We are pleased to announce that the UK government now opened applications for funding through the 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞.

UK citizens will no longer be able to participate in the broad EU mobility scheme for students (Erasmus+), although UK government announced it would commit £𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 to a replacement mobility scheme named 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞. They will fund 35,000 global exchanges from September 2021, including university study, school exchanges, and industry work placements.

The new scheme will improve social mobility, targeting students from disadvantaged backgrounds and areas, and opening up the possibility for 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞. ✈️
University students from disadvantaged backgrounds will receive a maximum of £490 per month towards living costs and other forms of additional funding to offset passports, visas, and insurance costs.

From today, March 28th, the clocks go 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟏 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫. The period when the clocks are 1 hour ahead is called British Summer Time and lasts until October. This gives all of us an extra hour to enjoy the British daylight!
